Greetings/My Order of our Martyred Lady

Greetings brothers and sisters,

I have wrote a lengthy enough introduction post detailing my history and background with the game and myself in the B.A forum, so as not to repeat myself if anyone cares to read it , it's in my only other post thus far on the site.

However this post more serves to post a couple of photos of my small, but growing sisters force so far that I have accumulated.

It started with Celly and the wonder twins, and has continued to grow based on the models I like the most, with one eye on the hopefully significant release we'll be getting next year. I always pair my sisters with another force when I play, usually either assassins or B.A ,and although I'm a very casual and sporadic (amd terrible) gamer, they've always been great fun to play.

I'm a big fan of Sisters lore, and between the other projects I tend to have on the go, I really hope to continue to build my force over the coming year. Here's hoping for some new exorcists, and of course, penitent engines. I'd order 5 of them in a heartbeat.......

Anyways, here's a couple of pics. Sorry about the potato quality, I'm not the best when It comes to technology!!!

Wishing you all well from Dublin,

Chuck

Welcome to the BnC! I read your BA topic and I like your Dreanoughts a lot! Although I am surprised you didn't join the Iron Hands  Its an exciting time for Sisters players, and not before time. Seeing as you like reading (like myself ^_^ ), this topic would probably be of interest to you. I highly recommend "Mercy", "Soul fuel", "Whispers", "Signal to Noise" and especially "Repentia" to read. Im not so keen on the older Sisters novels, however. We also have "The Bloodiest Rose" dropping sometime next month and the Limited Edition novel "Celestine" in the new year, so keep an eye out for them ^_^

Hope to see more Sisters painted soon ^_^

Thank you for the warm welcome.

Iron hands just don’t do it for me, it was the unique BA dreads and the BA Chapter outlook that sealed the deal in that regard.

As for Sisters, I would love to build and paint 5/6 Penitent Engines as they are even more grim dark than dreads, but I’m very reluctant to pull the trigger on getting any as they seem to have a reputation as being notoriously finicky to build. On top of that, I have a gut feeling that there’ll be a new model in our future release, and I would be absolutely all over that if and when it happens.

I’d also like to do exorcists, but the same logic as above applies. Can see them getting a refresh, and have heard bad things about the metal part of the cast on the current model.

I must say , my immolators were a joy to build and paint though, was a lovely project.

I brought them to WHW this year and burnt dozens of tyranids....

Looking forward to hearing more about our coming release I must say!

Cheers, Chuck

Welcome!

When I built my penitent engines, I expected them to be a lot worse, but they weren’t too bad - you will have to pin a few things, and then combo it with free stuff, glue, and patience, letting each “section” of the engine set before adding on another. Otherwise it will fall apart in your clutches!

But the unit is so much fun, and is among the deadliest dread-style models out there.

I also like to combo my sisters from time to time, usually with a handful of custodes. I picked a minor order militant descendant from the Bloody Rose for mine, though.

I have four PE's (three built, one full painted. The fourth had a miscast arm and one of the others was sent in replacement  ) and two Exorcists. Pinning is effective when building them, but I didn't do that. I used Loctite powerflex (has rubber in the formula) and not had a problem with any of them. In fact, my first Penitent Engine got accidentally dropped a couple hours after building built and it bounced (seriously. Only slightly bent an arm!) I bought a few Sisters of Silence to add to the army (4k, 2k painted), but I'll probably add them to my trio Inquisitor war band now.

We're not far from Chapter Approved. I can't wait personally ^_^
