Betrayal at Calth - 3k of WB & Militia

Hello all,

 

I wanted to share with you a list that I've always wanted to build ever since I've read Know No Fear.  In the book (which I highly recommend) a force led by Hot Beloth attack a palace on Calth were a few Ultramarines and PDF make a last stand.  I've used the units described in the chapter and build the list below.  Obviously it is a fluffy list and won't be optimized to the tee but I also want it to have some teeth.  I would love to get your feedback.  Thank you.

 

Crusade Force - Total 3000 pts

 

WB (Primary Force) - 2360 pts

 

HQ

- Hol Beloth (because he led the forces on Calth). 165pts

- Chaplain with artificer armor, burning lore, additional combat blade, reflector field & power Maul. 135 pts

 

Elites

- Apothecary with jump pack & power sword. 70pts

- 10 Gal’Vorbaks, 2 have power mails, the martyr has a power fist and artificer armor. 395pts

 

Troops

- 10 assault marines, meltabombs, 2 have power axes, sergeant has a artificer armor, power axe. 265pts

- 10 tacticals in Rhino, additional combat blades, sergeant has artificer armor, power fist. 205pts

- 10 tacticals in Rhino, additional combat blades, sergeant has artificer armor, power sword. 200pts

 

Heavy Support

- Spartan with armor ceramite, flare shield, dozer blades. 375pts

 

LoW

- Baneblade with space marine crew. 550pts

 

Militia  (Allied Force) - 640 pts

 

HQ

- Force commander with carapace armor, refractor field.  Provenance is Tainted Flesh (Fear, FNP of 6+ & rending) and Alchem-jackers (in CC they ignore combat result modifiers when rolling their Ld test, when shot at, if they miss their Ld they become pinned instead of fleeing). 125pts

 

Elites

- 4 Medicaes. 50pts

 

Troops

- 50 inducted levies with lascarabines and vexilla.  120pts

- 50 inducted levies with lascarabines and vexilla.  120pts

 

Heavy Support

- Heavy ordnance battery: 3 Earthshaker cannons. 225pts
