Building my first kill team this week, and here is what I am thinking: Leader: Stealth Suit Shas'vre - BC, ML, TL Comms: Pathfinder Gunner - Rail Rifle Sniper: Pathfinder Gunner - Rail Rifle Heavy: Stealth Suit Shas'i - BC MB3 Recon Drone 2x Gun Drone 2x Shield Drone The idea is the two pathfinders, Recon Drone, and 2x Shield Drone form a more static fire base with a good vantage point. Both stealth suits along with both Gun Drones have the ability to move out and acquire board control. Is this is a mistake to have a mobile and immobile element, effectively splitting my force in half? Am I better off dropping the Stealth suits and committing to more long-range firepower and drone protection? Any feedback is welcome! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Having used a Gun Drone list last time I've to say I'm no fan of hitting on 6s most of the time and people will try to focus down your Rail rifles so it might be a good idea to replace the Gun Drones with two more Shield Drones. Brother Navaer Solaq Posted October 29, 2018 Share Posted October 29, 2018 i would go for more bodies. you will need something to soak up the mortal wounds from physic phase unless you are confident you can roll those 5+ with the shield drone. leadership of tau is not that high that losing some models means you will start making break test faster. Tau are not as durable as marines. the idea of having immobile and mobile element is not bad, your list seems to me lacking in terms of bodies.
