The Defensor titan sounds good for me I enjoy long range blasting with mine, I'll have to pick up the pack and split it with other folk.

I could send you mine if you want. Don't think I'll use it. PM me if you want.

Sent :)

Will the "Siege Titan" we've heard rumors about be it's own kit, or will be just be a weapon load out for the existing Warlord(and if so, will it be a conversion kit that effects more then just the 4 built in magnetic hardpoints), this effects whether I want to build Strength now or later.

I would love The Tower to be bigger then a Warlord, and there are rumors that there will be a Titan in that size range, but we don't know what kind of battle field role it might play, and might therefore be ill-fitting to represent The Tower.

I haven't heard of these rumours, and a quick google search for Adeptus Titanicus "Siege Titan" didn't give le any joy

Isn't the Siege Titan simply going to be the Warbringer? And would the Tower be representable by the Warbringer?

(is it obvious I'm also anxiously waiting for the Warbringer? :P)

Thanks, I found the following mentions in this thread :smile.:

Nightgaunt is in effect was warlord without shoulder weapons - usually armed to smack down other titans in melee.  In the original Adeptus Titanicus, that is.

Seems like that'd be easy class to add.  Little bit of armor on top that could be snuck to an another warlord sprue. Slap some rules that with fewer weapons the warlord is faster, say... as fast as reaver.

Honestly when I was assembling my warlord, I was nearly tempted to leave off the carapace weapons. Carapace-less warlords look cool as anything and some rules/loadout reflection would be great.

RE: other new titan classes, Titandeath does mention a siege titan, a "heavy model equipped for battery, with a wrecking ball for one hand and a multi-headed drill on the other, both shimmering with disruption fields". The individual titan's name is Atranican, no legion or pattern identified, and it's described as heavier than a warlord. In fact its march at the walls is escorted by a pair of warlords, striding at its shoulder.

Could be a new class then, larger than a warlord if not by much. Could just be a callback to the original AT game though, the lack of a pattern/class name suggests it might not be in the pipeline.

Finished reading Titandeath now. I enjoyed it (although some in the BL thread didn’t so ymmv). Potential for very mild spoilers ahead.

Things mentioned which might link to the game:
Rapier light scout, siege Titan with drill and wreaking ball (seems to be a bit bigger chassis than a Warlord based on the text). Carnivore and Nightgaunts mentioned in passing (no details). Void battles on top of orbital plates and debris storms. Large multi engine dropships (4 per conveyor), single engine coffin ships. Comms jamming (remove mantiple benefits?) Chaos titans with expected bone spikey bits etc.

I think that’s all but will edit if anything comes back to me!

I had thought of naming titans after the tarot cards but I had never researched the lore to match classes to their backgrounds. It’s a cool idea and you should just start rolling with it and build it as it develops. Even if you never get to finish a perfect matching deck it’ll still look cool as hell.

Thanks, I mean I'm not going that in-depth into Tarot meanings, sometimes it's just about the name alone(the Hierophant and High Priestess will use Mechanicus Red for their heraldry, as well as unused Mechanicus iconography related decals from my Imperial Knights), and other times I let JoJo references fill in any holes left by "writer's block" I get over exactly what needs to be what(hence why The Fool is a Warhound(though I have later come up with plenty of other reasons for that decision, but that was the first one that got the ball rolling), The Star and The World will both be the same type of Titan(Warlords) and have similar weapon loadouts, Strength will use Orange in its individual heraldry, and the plasma coils of the Hierophant's Sun Furry Annihilators will glow green).

Insert obligatory "holy :cuss is that a mf'n JoJo's reference!?" meme here. Also really cool, I want to see this happen. Can you get psi-titans blasting Hamon all over the place in there too :D

I’m going to use the flamer model/rules for my Ember Wolves' harpoons :smile.:

You can get 6 Warhounds and some knights at 2k, maybe some Acastus knights for added dakka.

After a bunch of games, we’ve all learned to space our Knights out 3”. That makes catching more than one Knight in a Plasma Blast very unlikely. Flamers are more than likely to catch more than one Knight, and at S7, are effective at getting past their armor. Not to mention that they don’t have to roll to hit.

It is a mish-mash of random stuff, impossible to find anything. There is a ton of good stuff in here, but it's all jumbled together and the information isn't organized. When I get time (or when other mods/admins get time), we'll split relevant portions off into discrete topics.

In the meantime, please start separate topics for discrete subjects.
