Skarbrand worth it?

Hey guys, got an upcoming battle against my buddies orks, all brand new with the codex. And I’m running a predominantly nurgle force, but am wanting to add skarbrand and a khorne DP with skullreaver for some added punch.

 

Is Skarbrand worth his points? Will his aura of adding attacks to friend of foes work against me? I was planning on having him to give my plaguebearers an extra attack and to ignore morale. But am worries about him giving my opponents extra attacks also. And he’s quite expensive, I believe 380 points?

 

I have used him once before when 8th first dropped and haven’t since. Wondering what your guys experiences with him are?

 

My list is going to be roughly,

Poxbringer

Spoilpox scrivener

Nurgle DP with talons and horn of nurglez rot relic

Khorne DP with skullreaver

2x 30 man blobs of plaguebearers

Nurgling squad

5 man squad of plague drones ( DPs will move up with these guys)

And Rotigus

And a feculant gnarlmaw

You would probably do best just running a Khorne patrol detachment with a Skullreaver prince and 30 bloodletters that you deepstrike.  Khorne really needs the loci bonus.   Failing a charge with bloodletters is unacceptable.. so you run a mono detachment, with stratagem banners and an instrument.  No exceptions.  

 

My experience using Skarbrand has only been against shooty lists.  If your ork opponent has any decent anti tank then skarbrand will have to start off the table.  Skarbrand SUCKS if he is hurt AND out of position because he only moves 4" without fly.  The main thing you must do with Skarbrand in my experience is get him into the fray using deepstrike.  He needs to be in a position to threaten your opponent with instant destruction which doesnt seem to pair well with plaguebearers.

@sanguinaryguardsmen I posted what my list will mostly be, minus skarbrand. Still on the fence about Rotigus, but nurgle has ways to regenerate wounds.

 

Thinking now I may drop skarbrand for more nurgling support and another DP. Possibly a DG DP with the supperating plate relic.
