All Robot list

General Strike

Assuming you're playing matched, probably not very :/

The rule of three impacts Onagers to too much of a degree to really build around them. Kastelans less so, but you'll still struggle given the limitations you've set yourself. Ad Mech doesn't have a wealth of HQ's either, and you'd also be doing without any real source of ob sec...

That said, the concept is really fun. I don't know whether you've considered either trying out an Ad Mech 30K army (they have loads of incredible robotic units in that setting, and the models are beautiful), or shelving the idea for now until the long awaited (though inevitable) port of these units to 40K? (Though it could still be quite the wait).

Not sure whether Admech is suffering for:

|) past crimes (7th Ed)

||) not gonna step on FW's toes (fires of C)

|||) no model-no-rules practically mono characters (chapter house syndrome)

I mean where's the customisation on TPD? They literally chop bits off and upgrade themselves: they need a toolbox to choose upgrades, weapons or whatever from, longer than your average mechadendrite!

I've had a little success with my Dreadnought & Kastellan list. Certainly a lot of fun, at any rate. It's not *strictly* legal, but it's coherent enough that opponents have let me away with the fudging.

Inquisitor Karamazov

Furioso Librarian Dreadnought

Ironclad

2* Venerable Dreadnoughts

Contemptor

Redemptor

4 Kastellans

Datasmith

Techpriest Dominus

Smattering of Inquisitorial Acolytes.

It's a daft list, but a fair amount of fun.

The =][= & Dreadnoughts make a single Ordo Xenos/Deathwatch Killteam. :)
