I have a feeling we'll see variant armour panels as well. Not just Legion-specific but also different patterns representing different Forge Worlds.

Edit: Not to mention perhaps Legio-specific weaponry.

RESULT. This is absolutely excellent news, I could not be happier. I have my doubts that this was the plan all along but regardless of how it happened - this response from FW on their FB page seems to pretty much solidly confirm that this release was a direct response to the poor reaction yesterday's announcement got - but wonderful.

"Thanks for all your comments – your passion and involvement helps keep the Warhammer hobby great. Keep talking to us." is rather nice as well, particularly as all the disappoint and surprise I'd seen on this was coming from folks who were genuinely invested in AT as a game and not just looking for a gripe. Glad that this was on some level recognised. Something something nu-GW but at any rate gets Specialist Games a lot of respect back

That sprue though! Two actually distinct heads, including that grim-faced throwback one (paging Marshal Loss)! Options for tilting shields or extended carapaces!

And the reaver, that's one I am 100% comfortable just getting the box for. Brilliantly vicious looking face and an unexpected boost from that carapace-mounted turbolaser destructor. Nice touch that, it was hard to see what a plastic kit might offer over just repurposing a magnetised warhound version but that awning looks great.

EDIT: ha, this is is how you do it. In response to someone asking if they knew this all along: "Nope. If we did, we would have announced it at the same time! This has come as a direct result of feedback right here on this page and on various other forums." Fair play to them, this is well done on their part.

now I'm just wondering where this kind of response was when the fanbase threw a fit over the FW price hike fiasco? surely there was more noise about that garbage then there was over just Adeptus Titanicus.

did the guys & gals reading the comments just not have the guts to kick that issue upstairs? did they take up to their bosses, but management was just far more stubborn about their pricing changes then they were about product boxing/shipping so nothing came of it?

There's a much smaller fanbase with Titanicus than with 40K. They can afford to bleed some customer base with one, the other is new and hinges on a relatively small number of customers to pass or fail. Like it or not, people will always purchase overpriced models from FW for 30K / 40K (we have been for a LONG time now). The same cannot be said for AT.

And yet with plastic releases their investment is huge compared to some resin modells. Unless they want to write that money off they have to keep the hype running. And monday was close to stopping that train

The only thing we’ve seen now but hasn’t been released (or will be released in the near future) is the carapace weapons for the Questoris.

Can the Ceratus use them? Could it be on their sprue? And I wonder how they’ll do the weapon card for those since there’s only one load out. Card in the box?

Edit: Just looking at the Warlord and Reaver cards; There’s still a sprue’s worth of main weapons for the Warlord - Gatling and Quake, that Lucius head and quite a few carapace weapons. We’ll probably get a few of those in resin as they won’t all fit on a single sprue.

The Reaver will have all it’s arm weapons after this new one but a load of carapace missing. So I guess they’ll be resin. Unless we get a ‘support’ sprue with mixed class weapons on (probably just a pipe dream).

Nah, Cerastus Knights have no Carapace weaponry.

Maybe it was a lot easier to get corporate to authorize adding a single sprue to their website, probably direct only sales, than it would be to get them to change their entire price structure. That is like comparing apples and baneblades.

The 40k fluff explained to an outsider:

Some space elves got really into drugs and sex and a big scary monster got born that ate them.
A space wizard got beaten up by a guy who said he was his friend but wasn't and now he's on a life support machine and people worship him because he was super awesome.
Now there are giant men with rocket launcher machine guns and 4 hearts and are really super awesome who beat up everything.
Also there's a bunch of aliens but they don't really do anything and aren't as cool as the rocket machine gun super men, so who cares?

Seems like Warlord with claw has option to make normal fist, clawed fist and with or without vulcans. Also, in the WHC pic, warlord has megabolters on it, just noticed.

Legio-specific weaponry seem likely. They know the demand is there for folks howling "FIRE THE URSUS CLAWS" around the table.

Variant forge world-specific armour, in theory yeah, but I'm not convinced. We discussed the technical stuff in another thread and in the WHC stream Andy Hoare talked about SG maybe doing variant armour plates down the line... but he also talked about the Mars pattern being the classic one all the designers like and that it represents is the best titan design they can produce. Which I agree with on some biased level - I feel the Lucius design needs a brisk tidy if not a fair bit of reworking to look halfway decent - but from that kind of language I'd expect to see warped chaotic plates before variants from other forge worlds.

Perhaps. If you notice though, the nice thing about all of the Titans is that you can simply assemble the skeletal frame without any armour and at that point it would be easy to make them any pattern in the world you desire. It wouldn't even take all that much, they would already have the base model completed, and they could sell them both as an upgrade for existing kits or with the base model as a variant pattern for those who haven't purchased one yet.

They absolutely could and the sprue layout is certainly designed to make that sort of thing possible. I'm saying that from what I've seen in SG's communications and publicity there seems to be less desire on their part to take advantage of that for Lucius-pattern armour compared to, say, chaotic upgrade/kits or titan variants.

Yeah, AH said pretty much flat out 'don't hold your breath for Lucius pattern' on the last stream. As Sandlemad said, the modular chassis setup is most likely to allow Chaos versions.

You just need 2 power fist weapons cards. Nothing prevents you from that loadout I believe. Up close and personal.

Not holding my breath for Lucius pattern, AH was quite clearly (imho) encouraging people to make their own conversions. I'm betting Chaos / daemonic armour plates will be there long before any Lucius pattern.

Very happy the weapons' sprues will be available separately and also very happy they have been shown. I had a quick look and put coloured dots to try to identify the various components. No idea for a couple of tiny pieces on the warlord. It appears there are 2 sets of claws and 1 set of fingers, so options for power fist and arioch power claw.

The other faceplate for the Reaver looks cool - Optimus Prime style face :P or knight but I prefer the Prime reference.

There are no rules saying you can't, no clue if it would be effective or not, but you can totally try.

I plan to run a double Power Clawed Warlord in my Tarot deck themed Legion to represent "Strength", though if these Baording Party Inserting Fists I've heard about existing in the lore/old AT become avalible in the future, I'll want to replace one of the Power Claws with that.

Mendi all of the parts you circled are for the arioch claw/fist. The left most circled parts are the barrels for the Vulcan mega bolter. Next to that is the thumb joint for the claw/fist. You can see the two slots you can place them in on the bottom part (119). The top most circled one is the elbow joint for the claw/fist. The right most circled part is a point of articulation that connects the elbow joint to the rest of the claw/fist.

I think that since the game is gonna be dead in two years they want to sell the most while they can. Nobody plays blood bowl at my local gw and nobody'll do necromunda next year.
My last purchase from FW was in 2015, no point paying their prices when it's far cheaper to buy in China.
Was thinking about getting the rulebook for christmss but hey I had to sell my 30k stuff since they didn't get into 8th so no thanks I'm using a pirated copy instead with old 6mm.

Add an extra finger set to the warlord. There is a bent finger in each of the corners of the sprue. They are next to each of the gun armor pieces.

I’m just happy cause I can use the extra claw pieces on my traitor reavers to make alternate power Fists.

Good to hear that GW is monitoring forums (presumably including this one) to keep track of the vibe amongst the fans. Absolutely LOVE the new Reaver head design, wonder if we’ll ever see a 40k scale equivelent.

They shall be my finest warriors, these men who give of themselves to me. Like clay I shall mould them, and in the furnace of war forge them. They will be of iron will and steely muscle. In great armour shall I clad them and with the mightiest guns will they be armed. They will be untouched by plague or disease, no sickness will blight them. They will have tactics, strategies and machines so that no foe can best them in battle. They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marines and they shall know no fear.
