Working on a Japanese themed Household, as well: House Toho It based on a few famous samurai who wore red armor. Masakage and the Ii clan that he influenced later. I know for sure I want to make a few ashigaru forces, mostly just a few warriors with the "straw hats" look. Whats getting to me, is that there are two ways of doing it, either I go Astra Militarum and mostly just use regular bodies with straw hats heads, or I go with what could look pretty good too with Adeptus Mechanicus as their basic troops. Then it would be conversions with how the Mechanicus would be aproximate to Sohei (Warrior-Monks) from Japan. I want to use this head for basic troops: Looks a bit too much like Tau, which is what worries me, but looking from uptop, it will be quite striking an army of Mechanicus with those heads. Lore Wise it would be a bit of jumble to make, but nothing to hard or impossible. There were clans who had proximity with the Sohei monks anyway. The Castellan is a Knight full of firepower, so I thought a reference towards the powderweapons samurai used to have (like Tanegashima) would be nice for the freehand: The Emperor as similar as Amaterasu with sun rays from behind.
