Reading/Listening Order of the Heresy Series

Now then folks, I know this is a topic that pops up not infrequently, due to all the content that gets released, however I was wondering if anyone could take the time to give a suggested reading order for all the Heresy books and audio (any anthologies, random shorts etc would also be appreciated)?

I've gone through the first few books, as I picked up the HH Humble Bundle, though haven't read Macragge's Honour or listened to the Garro audio, as I haven't read The Outcast Dead and don't want to mess up the major order. There are quite a few similar topics throughout the web, though none seem to reach a consensus and with the Black Library reading order having disappeared from their site, I'm unsure how to progress.

Am I safe to start the Garro audio and/or MH without giving myself spoilers?

Cheers!

As always, if Chronology is all you;re concerned about, start with Tymell's reading list here: https://rateyourmusic.com/list/Tymell/the-horus-heresy-series-a-chronological-reading-guide/

If you'd like something a bit less linear, this chart is quite helpful, though missing many of this year's releases: https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4669/39091367535_b5085d46b2_o.jpg

Garro's a toughie as his adventure extends through most of the Heresy timeline, he'll indirectly spoil several major events, if you don't know about them already. That said, definitely listen to the Garro audios over the Garro collection, they are much better to listen to. Macragge's Honour won;t make much sense if you read it before Know no Fear. Outcast Dead is probably fine for any time after Fulgrim.

If you're concerned about plot developments, leave Leman Russ: The Great Wolf until after the series is over.

Its the old one, as I know the "current" version is here: https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1913/44485195294_359b7ee7d7_o.jpg

Still missing some titles, though.

Cheers guys, the flow chart really illustrates the issue of trying to read 'in order' the events of a galaxy-spanning war with so many major players - it's all happening at once!

I listened to Oath of Moment last night and didn't receive any spoilers, much was known to me from reading Forgeworld's Massacre, which raised the point of whether the black books could include spoilers? Though I think they are more overviews of the fighting, with a few in depth examples, which I guess Black Library will leave due to having already being explored?

I remember stumbling upon this years ago when i was a mere lurker on these boards, it's been beyond helpful in crafting my itunes playlists for different story arcs of the Heresy! :happy.:
