Aw yis!

Posting from my phone so linking to the pics is tricky but there are a couple here: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2018/11/24/breaking-news-from-the-vigilus-open-daygw-homepage-post-1fw-homepage-post-1/ and one of the Quad Bike in the NR&FA thread about the Vigilus Weekender.

Children of the Four-Armed Emperor, rejoice!

The bikers are the stand-out reveal from today for me. I've been slowly accruing GSC minis ever since Deathwatch Overkill and those might just give be the little boost i need to turn it into a fully fledged army.

Any word on the codex release. The warhammer community article says they are still the next release but will that be this year?

Was just listening to Valrak's video of the event and the GW rep declined to answer the various questions from the audience about whether this would release in December.

Knight_Commander: I doubt we'll see the models earlier than the Codex since its release is (relatively) imminent but it is a possibility if they come as part of a boxed set (though again that is doubtful since they already were part of one). Most likely they'll release the models at the same time as the Codex. And that should mean that we'll get the Bikers and Quad Bike, the gunslinger character, and the command table character all in the same release slot. Can't wait! :D

Slan Drakkos: Female cultists? Where?

The one with the sniper looks feminine IMO. It might be my bad eyes playing tricks on me though. I've certainly never seen male cultists of any type with earrings though....

Then again, some of the chaos guardsmen from Blackstone Fortress look female as well and GW has made it pretty clear that they'd like to try to be a bit more inclusive.

The Gunslinger model is what made me decide to start genestealer cult. I really hope that 1- he actually has some good rules, and 2- it is not a unique / named character. I've already been stockpiling all the bits I would need for a converted gunslinger.

I am super duper excited for the big GSC relase :D

When I first started I was all about the pure infantry, Neophytes and purestrains for days. However, I did love the look of the mining vehicles and did get 3 Rockgrinders. I think these bikes and quad bikes are gonna push over to a full mad max bike, buggy and truck style army.

I am gonna use December and January to build up funds and will probably end up getting 20 biikes and a 2-3 more trucks :)
