Dremel purchasing advice

Anyone here use Dremels or other rotary tools to cut/sand plastic and drill holes?

Any recommendations in what set up and blade scale would be best for Warhammer sized figures?

Just want to expedite my conversion process and get a cleaner straight cut at the joints of Marines for true scale. Some sanding utility for big details that take to long to wear down would also be helpful.

Have heard that the tool may be too powerful for an accurate drill for bolter barrels but if I'm looking to pin joints (I still have a lot of metal fantasy models) should that be fine?

Thanks!

Sizes vary with the execution, so a small blade size for smaller work. In general, though, you'll need the smallest bits/attachments you can find.

The most important thing about the use of rotary tools for this hobby (to me) is getting a tool with low/variable speed. Most of the tools are single speed, and it's generally too high for accurate work on this scale of model, especially with plastic/resin (which can melt or otherwise be destroyed due to the speed). Those tools that have low/variable speeds, though, tend to be much safer for this type of work.

You'll find that rotary tools are great for chopping old lead/pewter minis up (when you have the right attachments/bits).

I have the Stylus and it's truly great.  I use some of the small saws and ball cutting tools to carve out things for conversions and drill out holes but not delicate things like gun barrels, that's a duty for a small hand drill.  I also have a couple of drill bits for sinking magnets, it's a really versatile tool for all kinds of uses outside of the hobby too.
