Well, deicided to make a start on my cultists inspired by these new releases from weekender (in between working on the forces of Prospero, new and old).

back in another life I had a lot of the old metal hybrids and have always had a soft spot for Genestealers since Space Crusade.

so first up: Cult leadership, inspired by a classic :-) :

sure, the Chair is basically this:

cut up with some of the bits replaced with Purestrain heads/skulls. stuck on a suitable base and a pile of skulls mostly from the skulls box with liberal sprinkling of space marine helmets. the Purestrain on the back I had originally envisioned as a statue/part of the chair but I might end up painting him as a real "live" one.

Typically they just released this:

which would work a lot better I reckon, but I like how it turned out.

No probs!, the Patriarch itself is a combination of the broodlord and patriarch from the broodcoven (I can't remember what bits though, possibly 1 leg and the claws where swapped about to get him "sitting". his tail was chopped off and is curling out from behind him on the chair.)

will get some more pics up soon.

The Patriarch turned out fantastic. And the Magi(?) had to google that... now want to see a nativity scene with three Magi bringing gifts to a baby purestrain... I digress. They also look great!

As it happens there will be three Magi, I picked up the regular version too. Also managed to find my 3 metal familiars from 1st/2nd edition who do look like babies so it could happen :-)

You could use the Nexos table as a manger
