Inceptors Flight Stands

I’m about to embark on building 2 squads of 5 Inceptors, and wondered how you go about fixing them to their flight stands.
I want to use the clear stands, as I think it adds a coolness factor, but am worried about how week the joint seems to be and transport.
Has anyone had any joy in magnetising them?
I tried last night with a 2mm x 1mm magnet in the end of the stand and one on the jump pack, but it wasn’t strong enough.
Tips and tricks gratefully received!
Cheers,
WW

I didn't use the stands at all, instead I just pinned them to the base with them hovering about 5-10mm above.

If the magnets arent strong enough you could pin the stands. I would likely approach it by securing the stand/base etc and adding the pin in the ball joint and socket.

There's no way to magentise or secure those stands beyond simple superglue, and they snap really easily. As cool as they look, they're absolutely awfuly designed. I didn't think GW could do worse than the old flight stands with the pegs that always snapped, but props to them, they sure managed it. I've ritually snapped all mine and replaced them with brass rod. Painted black and with some nice tall grass/rubble/a column to enhance where the rod meets the base they are barely noticeable. Plus you can put the models at any angle and height you want.
