I find this hard to believe, and while its plausible, they have already written fluff with many chapters openly embracing primaris, so if there is a split, I think you'll see Primaris on both sides. Some will be in favour of RG, and some against. Plus RG has now been back for 200 years It could set up a loyalist Primarch waking up to sort it all out..... Also sad that some can cling to old memes in the face of all the evidence presented by the Heresy series itself - I guess willful ignorance and fans applying a double standard never go out of style. Especially considering other Primarchs disagreed with the dictate to rearrange the Marine Legions to some extent, one who outright refused to do so, it's not a far stretch to believe that there could be more than one Primarch who might be willing to say that the Imperium is not what the Emperor wanted, especially seeing Guilliman at its head (regardless of the changes he's trying to make), and desire to "do it better." There are already replies of wishful thinking (deliberately provocative, at that) and nothing even remotely tangible. I'm moving this over to Amicus Aedes as a speculative discussion. If it turns out that there's any credibility to the "rumors" identified in the OP, as in there's some actual official product or lore development, we can move the discussion back into the NRBA forum. Things could very much change if this truly heralds the return of one or more additional ones, multiple recognized heirs could lead to some interesting situations where everyone has equal authority to declare the others traitors... It's also an event that it's unlikely many (if any) can actually verify, so for Astartes that have always followed the lead of one or more of the High Lords of Terra, who may disagree openly with Guilliman and possibly issue counter-orders to loyal Astartes, the waters could be very murky, so who do you really believe... that could be a reason for some of these loyal Astartes to feel that the Imperium under Guilliman isn't really the vision the Emperor wanted. It also actually sounds like a decent idea, so that rules it out as coming from the GW design studio. Jokes (well, not really) aside, something like this - or the return of a rival Loyalist Primarch as suggested above by Marshal Rohr - is really needed. Anything to break down and add some variety to the homogenised Guilliman-centric narrative we've got going on right now. Some unforeseen and unknown territory like this could add some genuine excitement to the narrative. Not even Guilliman should be able to bend the entire Imperium to his will. IMperium nihiulus has the lion in the rock as a mobile terra/FOB for all the imperiums forces. when the imperium proper finally makes contact they are surprised to see the lion.
