Are you still buying Oldmarines?

'cause I certainly am.

I trust GW enough to assume they'll keep them on the shelves for a while and provide stuff like indexey legacy-like rules to make them a playable option.

I might be a fool, but at least we'll have 8th for some time to come.

And the nice thing about Primaris? They're not going anywhere for the forseeable future!

So I get the limited edition models I like and save them for a later day.

And there might be better stuff still to come.

Had I started Primaris right away they'd be Ultramarines, while now there's the IF kit...

But for now, I'll finish my Oldmarines, I'll grab some Terminators and let the good times rock.

How 'bou you?

Great question!

No.

But only because I bought enough upon release to get good quality sprues.  Although I did buy a Stormhawk last week ^_^

So really, a sub-question is: do you mean OldMarine "dudes", or anything non-Primaris?

In which case, my answer is still "no, except for the Stormhawk last week"

Nop. Really don't like their proportions. The only ones I consider buying is the BA specific Jump Pack Chaplain and the Sanguinary Priest because they have very unique armour designs and it would be a shame to not have them.

I brought a tactical squad and devastator squad the other week and two assault and vanguard veterans squads last month. Going to build a company of White Consuls and also put some primaris in there too so yes I’m still buying them.

No, and probably never will again - but not because of Primaris. I already own multiples of every unit, in fact I might start to downsize my collection.

With Primaris getting new releases I'll probably be investing in them when I'm no adding to my new AdMech army or my future Sisters project.

Yes. Not in great quantities, cause I tend to get most of what I want when the kits are newly released, but I recently brought a storm raven, devastator squad and deathwing terminator squad.

As well as that I recently got space marine heroes series 2 :)

Not for 40K at the moment.  I have plenty right now for my 30K legion and if I buy anything for 40K it will be very specific unit choices some time next year at the earliest or not at all.
I think I should say that I would like to finis my Legion and then just play with those models as a 40K army more than buy 40K marines. It seems silly to have an army I can only really use in one of the two games.

I'm starting my first marine army now. I liked the look of the heresy era armour a lot, so it was a tough choice between primaris and the heresy plastics, but then I found a good deal on the burning of Prospero and I'm all set! I do like the look of primaris kits a lot, but I like the idea of being able to play two games with my army (would like to play heresy eventually!)

I'll probably pick up some primaris armour stuff later, but I'm focusing on mkiii marines, and converting other units to be mkiii's.

I have bought both Oldmarines and Primaris. I may buy more Oldmarines depending on what changes the coming Chapter Approved brings.

At the moment, I found Oldmarines to make for better HQs/Specialists due to their greater range of options, while Primaris being better line units.  Just personal experiences.  However, I'm keeping my eye on Chapter Approved in case the dynamics change, like say, if Terminators get a points reduction.  Lots of possibilities just around the corner.

While all this is happening, I'm keeping in mind Siege of Terra is coming, for Really Oldmarines.  I haven't touched 30k for awhile, Siege might change that.

These are contingencies I have in mind.  Another one is I will get classic power armoured units, but they might be Sisters of Battle.  Thus, keeping an open mind.

I'll probably pick up the odd box or two for bits... but I still have so many marines on sprue that I am trying to finish what I have before buying more (primaris included)!  Also, with the beta codex coming out, I have been drawn back to my Sisters of Battle for the moment.

I'm very gunshy to by oldmarines unless there is a specific unit I want for a list. It's not a matter of if but when primaris take over. Could be in 3 years, could be 3 days. Any older marines I do end up getting will probably be propped up on cork to hide the height difference a bit!

Waiting to see what chapter approved does at any rate. I'll believe standard marines are here to stay when I see a new tactical marine sprue on the website.

Nope, I don't like them anymore now that Primaris are here. I've always liked truescale marines and Primaris are better proportioned to me. The perfect truescale marine so to speak.

The only reason I'd ever buy Classic Marines is for stripping them of bits. But I have enough Classic Marines to get by for now. Gotta give those Primaris dudes some chainswords and whatnot (even if they can't have them yet gamewise).

As for vehicles, I don't really consider those Primaris or not. I'd still buy a Stormtalons, Tanks or Dreadnoughts (although, I've got dreadnoughts aplenty still). Of course Repulsors are the only vehicle being able to transport Primaris, but I don't have those....yet.
