I, Dwango , embark on the 12 Months of Hobby Challenge, and for the month of August pledge to complete the below by month's end. Vow 4 is complete! And here's my fifth vow. I Dwango rise to the challenge of E TENEBRAE LUX on the side of the Chaos Space Marine Forum and vow to complete 5 fallen marines with a chainsword and bolt pistol, 3 x boltguns and a volkite caliver (counts as plasma gun).- 81 2 x chaos spawn - 50 of total value 131 points on or before September 1st, 2019. Grotsmasha Posted August 26, 2019 Author Share Posted August 26, 2019 (edited) Time for an update on my pledge for 2019 I've also decided to pledge a unit to work on all year, I've had this piece of twisted and warped doo doo for 5 years.... I, Grotsmasha , embark on the 12 Months of Hobby Challenge, and for the year of 2019 pledge to gap-fill, paint, and base 1x Dark Angels Legion Caestus Assault Ram by year's end. .... and this is what it looks like now.... yeah, I haven't touched it.... The motivation never appeared. I am however struck by a new project. Now, I don't know if I mentioned it here, but my brother bought an 3D printer, and when he told me I asked him to print me a model, this model. Hidden Content which I was super impressed by, yeah it's a little rough, but 100% usable. About a month or so later he says "I have a surprise for you..." and was like, ok? sooooo..... that glorious printed me a Warhound Titan.... soooo I have a new project for 2019 and plan to get this done by Xmas..... Rogue Posted August 29, 2019 Share Posted August 29, 2019 I didn't enter this one in the hobby challenge - it was a bit of a rush job to get him done for a game on Saturday, which happened to coincide with the bank holiday and the ETL deadline, so I squeezed him in as a fifth and final vow. But I figured I'd share him anyway. Because why not? One primus, ready to lead the uprising. I bought him assembled, and had to prise the claw arm off for painting, but I don't think it shows. And it was a fun model to paint - aside from being xenos and all, it's a very heroic pose, which is something I really like about a lot of the Cult range. Trokair Posted August 30, 2019 Share Posted August 30, 2019 Well that was a busy month, due to the end of ETL being imminent I really had to get to grip with my hobby time and paint this month. 65 Marines later and I have completed my ETL Vow 1. First 35 that I completed around the middle of the month: The remaining 30 that I finished today, including the Rapier Quad Mortars that were my pledge for this thread. And because I need to paint something other than marines, and there is still a little over a day left in the month I am going to do one more model, a Navigator.
