Alternative Daemon Princes.

I would suggest giving Creature Caster a look. They have some cool alternatives for daemon models.

Personally I like the King of War model which would fit you Khorne theme. Although I believe hes bloodthister size

You might want to also look at the Lord of Slaughter, Lady of Strife or the Lord of Malice

I use a balrog with daemon prince arms (magnetized for options) and DP armor bitz on the shoulders and legs.  The extended wings give him a much bigger profile, but with the character rule this edition it's not a significant issue.  He gets a lot of good comments :)

I converted a sons of horus contemptor into an iron warriors khornate daemon prince with the fleshmetal exoskeleton and two claws.

Pics or it didn't happen.

Creature Caster kits look good but they're a bit big for DP size. Any ideas for putting wings on a Khorgorath?

Aren't they a bit too big (and expensive) for a daemon prince?

Morghasts look cool as Thousand Sons DPs, and if you want too they are even cheaper than the normal model.

Creature Caster:

Lord of Slaughter

Lady of Strife

Lord of Malice (Technically undivided but who cares)

Titan Forge:

Lord of Fury

Mierce Miniatures:

Great Axe Malacant

Infernii (this contains all variants, although the big ones would be for bloodthirsters)

Limbo Miniatures:

Demon Vanguard (Out of stock atm)

Alternatively, if you only want wings:

Wargame Exlusive 1

Wargame Exlusive 2

Kromlech

Great selection there krakjen, cheers. I really like the Mierce minis, any idea of size comparison?

You can use the base size as a reference for a rough estimation.

For the one I linked for example, it's a 100mm wide base.

I found this picture for a comparison with a 40K mini:

Here's a few of my princes:

For my two flying princes, a main goal of them was to make them compact and transportable. One of my biggest pet-peeves is models with giant stupid wings.

Cacodaemon: Pingpongball, lots of greenstuff, and bits. The face is from the WFB Chaos Chariot

Minotaur foot prince. WFB Cryptfiend, minotgaur head, and some ork and ogre bits. Horns/helmet is also from the Chaos Chariot.

Punchy prince. AOS Kogorath(?), bloodthirster head, plastic daemonprince wings, and WFB Ghorgon fists.

And the early stages of Mr. Punchy

Personally, the plastic Daemon Prince kit is one of the best GW has ever made. It is so versatile, and with a little creativity, it is a perfect base for customizing your own Prince.

Here are some of mine

Bog standard with a Defiler mask

Okbok B'Gok, Daemon Prince of Tzeentch

And a Daemon Prince using greenstuff and a ton of extra bits out of my bitzbox

All you need is a Daemon Prince kit, a little imagination, and a handful of different bits.
