Furor- Vs dedicated transport

Played my first two 500pt. Games with my new Deathwatch and really enjoyed their versatility. I took the artifact that allowed me to switch the Re-roll 1’s to hit vs different things but started with vs troops and it worked great until I rolled up on a chimera. Couldn’t find anyone of the options that worked against battlefield roll transport. Had HQ, Elite, troop and even heavy covered. Had a quick look and couldn’t find an answer so if it is posted somewhere please redirect me. Was hoping it might be in a chapter approved or something. Just seems odd that just transports are not an option for it.

Nope, it isn't covered (grrr) and has yet to be addressed in any of the FAQs. I think it's one of the more, ahem, frequently asked questions about Mission Tactics and Deathwatch, but at this time there is no way to apply it to dedicated transports.

The same is true of the stratagems.

Thank you for the responses :smile.:

I was limited to a librarian and a chaplain with a ten man squad of vets I had in two combat squads which was very versatile and loved how the special rules worked. Managed to trounce both an Imperial Fist and a Genestealer Cult opponent. Really looking into the options with the Intercessors and what they can open up with the other primaris models. I'm about to place an order soon. A buddy gave me a box of Reivers and it doesn't look like they work that well so not sure if it is worth building and converting them for DW but they might be good in lower point games?

So here's the thing about Reivers...

Do you intend to play Kill Team? Because having one as a Reiver Sgt. on your roster is pretty powerful.

As for 40k, if you intend to run large auto bolt rifle Fortis Kill Teams with more than the minimum number of Intercessors, they're actually worth considering as a replacement for one of those Intercessors. It's a very small point premium to add some extra bonus rules for the unit that are pretty good, if a little situational. Worth considering in that case.

But as a separate unit? Probably best to stay away unless you really want to use them. They're a bit disappointing on the table, but there's definitely a small bit of value to having a unit with deep strike baseline over the CP cost in the Teleportarium.
