Hello everyone. I'm working on building up my first filthy Xenos army, and have gone for a troupe of murderclowns because they just look so awesome and are totally unlike anything I've ever painted, and I wanted a good challenge. I also want the army to not be terrible, so I'm looking for feedback, since this will very much be the army's core.

The Midnight Sorrow - The Art of Death. This seems really useful to tie up many things at once, especially in smaller games like this.

Troupe Master - Caress and Fusion Pistol, Suit of Hidden Knives, Nemesis of the Damned, warlord.
Troupe Master - Kiss and Fusion Pistol. Kind of nonoptimal but I like the conversion I made, and have loved the Harlequin's Kiss since the old days of 40k.

Troupe - 5 Caress, 3 Fusion Pistols. Part of me wants more Pistols, but I'm also going for as wysiwyg as possible and am making due with what I currently have. Goes in Starweaver 1 with TM.
Troupe - 5 Kiss, 3 Fusion Pistols. Starweaver 2 with TM.
Troupe - 6 Embrace, 3 Fusion Pistols. Goes solo in Starweaver 3.

The rest I have two options, and I'm not sure which is better. I can take either:

3x Skyweavers with Glaive and Haywire.
Or
2x Troupes with 2 Kisses each.

Part of me likes the anti-vehicle of the Skyweavers, but i also like having some cheap clowns for objective babysitting as low priority threats.

Ideas and feedback are appreciated.

Take out the second Troupe Master and replace him with a Shadowseer.

I'd go with jetbikes for expanding the army. Gives you a little more variety than just Troupes upon Troupes.

Thank you for the feedback. Played a game today (doubles, 1k per player with 2k per side) and I think I agree with you completely. While a couple of cheap units to hold back and score did definitely help, having the bikes would likely have helped more.

if you have the money to expand your force  a bit, i would definitely go with the shadowseer and a deathjester. they are each under 25 bucks, and would help your army allot

I find Death Jesters are typically better for holding backfield objectives - cheaper, easier to hide and more survivable due to being characters. I second the call for Skyweavers and a Sahdowseer - you get some list diversity (which is just fun) and some more options for exapnding later.

Ride a blood-red go-kart into the thick of it, and leave the 'riding-down-a-bumpy-road-with-no-shocks-and-no-pants-on' to those pretty boys in pink!

Skyweavers with Haywire will also help out in future when you expand and start playing larger games. If you run into tough, armoured targets like Knights, the ability to slap some Mortal Wounds on them is excellent. They also have sufficient rate of fire to menace infantry which can be handy.
Sanguinius stood up, stretching his wings to their full extent. He flexed his hands. "I need no blade".
It was as though Sanguinius gleamed with pale light, his face white, eyes becoming blood-red, surrounded by the golden crown of flowing hair. Guilliman had witnessed glimpses of of his brother's wrath before, but had never seen the true Blood Angel unleashed. Sanguinius surged forward on alabaster wings, half a meter from the floor, whiteness streaming from him like flames.
