New techpriest model in Kill Team

Well , if you give the dominus the relic to give her an extra D6 extra -1 ap attacks that reroll failed wounds.
She can  actually be a bit of a demoness in combat , with a 2up save , 5+ invuln and 5 wounds especially if you are in one of the more combat aligned canticles .

Mine systematically  murdered a large pack of Blood claws ... chainswords bouncing off her amoured hide and what scratches were done to her were healed by her D3  regen  the omhnissian axe has the stopping power to kill even primaris boys , Just watch out for those power weapons.

I have 15 Ruststalkers and 10 Infiltrators already... hopefully the 360° shot will suck and I dont need this box.

Not an option for me, I'll directly preorder. Already found someone for the useless ruins, just the infiltrators will end up on the pile of shame for the foreseeable future.

Even if that dude doesn't look perfect out of the box, some conversion will make it work. And the second weapon option will end up at a spare dominus, to get 2 manipulii from one sprue.

The 40k/Killteam rules will determine if I buy this. It's also going to be a juggling act as my Killteam is Stygies and the part of my main army I would probably use this HQ in is Mars.

Need an Unboxing!

£40 isn't bad if you can get some mileage out of the sicarians! Personally I don't have enough space at home to start really collecting terrain but the the rest of the contents are tempting. Hopefully they keep this box in stock for a while since I have a bit too much in the backlog as of right now.

Well, it is expensive as soon as you only want the Tech Priest... seems I will skip this for now. I have some other Tech Priests I can use as "counts as". Maybe he will get a solo release at a later stage or I am as lucky as MajorNese and can find someone to share the box with.

Edit: Nevermind, got him on ebay as preorder for ~ 22 GBP :whistling:

I'm actually not to annoyed i was looking at getting another 5 Infiltrators , my consistently perform on turn 3 for some warlord assassination

I try to kill surrounding units near a backline warlord and jump them in ;-)

Funny you say that. I just bagged a Tau warlord last night, literally with my Infiltrators.

I don't need anymore, but I figure Russtalkers will come back into the light someday soon, hopefully.

So we have a Kill Team preview for this guy... Pretty decent!

A bit short ranged though. He can get an ability in KT that adds 1" to the Movement of all models within 6", however I doubt this will be in 40k.

Hoping he has a longer range in 40k or a tasty aura on top. Full preview coming later in the week.

I'm doubting the range will increase for 40k. Most, if not all, weapons in KT have retained the same profiles as they have in their 40k counterparts. Although I do hope as well the range is greater. They made him out to be some long-ranged gunner. This is... kind of disappointing right now.

errrghh.

Really hope that the profiles get updated for 40k, otherwise I see no point taking him instead of arqebus rangers (im imaging he'll be sitting into a similar points bracket ie between an engineseer and a dominus).... who have, more range, same profile on arqebus (edit: 1 less AP), but with the ability to snipe characters and cause mortal wounds as well.

Have 2 stay still for 2 turns to get the benefits...on an 18" weapon...just doesnt translate/work in 40k..and even if it does, 3 wounds is the best outcome....

So yeah, lets hope for some changes/extra buff rules!

Well, coming from a chapter with +1" movement bubble on the chapter master, this does sound useful. Granted, it's not much, but mobility is the one thing we lack a lot, and every bit helps. And "living conduit for the power of the Motive Force" does sound like making others move more is his thing.

If you run a huge Carl skitarii/servitor bubble like me, having a manipulus with the overwatch relic would hand out some quite nice bubbles to everyone around. For now I used enginseers (useless but cheap) or dominus (expensive, but redundant bubble), but this guy would work too. I do hope that his 40k rules have a BS of 2+ (as the ranged specialist) so moving won't hurt his hit chances too much. The flamer seems (un-literally) hit or miss to me - most targets with 2W won't be impressed by the combination of only S4 and -1.

Mmm colour me underwhelmed ... he would have to be around the 70 point bracket ... ?

i could see me using him if the aura is plus 1 movment , we would go from one of the slowest armies to the fastest " foot sloggers"  I  could see it also being skitarri or " forge world Infantry model .. to prevent the already very quick Striders from benefitiing

The guns however seem terrible ... i'd  take a macrostubber over that thing ... unless they get both weapons thats just bad .
