I'd go with tech marine for Primaris or a Heresy style Primaris support unit.

Thing is though following the current all the same weapon trend do Primaris need an entire squad of flamers or could it be a single special weapons option as a squad upgrade?

Yeah, we're at the point where I hope that the inevitable Primaris wave 2 includes an upgrade sprue for the actual Intercessor squad, instead of the Intercessor sergeants getting all of the options. Ideally they'd even pack that sprue in with the base Intercessor kit going forward.

But such a kit would have a flamer or two along with a mess of chainswords and a few other weapons options.

A little bit out there but possibly Primaris upgrade for Salamanders?

In the same way that Imperial Fists got Power Fists on their's, maybe salamanders get a flamer that will then be available to other units.

I know that's probably unlikely as they just updated the data sheets but I'm thinking anybody running a Primaris Salamanders army needs flamers.

FWIW I think it’s bigger, the part that would be a grip protrudes rather than indents. The Dreadnought weapon option have this simalar design.

Looks AdMech a lot. But with Carl working on the primartians, it could be another primaris LT of course. The size seems a bit weird - level of detail is higher than infantry-sized weapons, but the overall length doesn't add up with the relatively short design. It does remind me of the gravis/inceptor guns, rather bulky but short weaponry, this would fit.

The cone at the front is identical for the Kastelan robot's flamer. The 3 ribs underneath are found on a lot of AdMech stuff, but both AdMech flamers (this and the kataphron one) have the two ribs at the ignition thing. So yeah, I fear it will just be another primaris thing...

Sorry dudes.
Primaris Black Templar with power sword and hand flamer. Inspired by the BT blanche artwork ;)
Could we be having a Primaris Veteran unit coming?
Or could it be that rumoured heavy infantry?

It kinda looks like a hand weapon. Have a look at Primaris bolt pistol. It's similar.
Since BA use a lot of hand flamers, could be a unit for them.

I just noticed, the little round part connecting the pilot light to the flamer's body is extremely similar to the ones in the pouch from the last Rumour Engine. I don't think they necessarily belong together, but could be part of the same kit. Or at the very least it's very likely that they belong to the same faction.

I may be way off here, but today’s article on Urban Conquest mentions the Vigilant Guard. Could this all be the first pointers to new Imperial Guard, with these Vigilant Guard taking the place of Cadians, and providing a new kit containing this back pack and flamer?

New guard would be welcome - I just have to remember that my hatred for them on the tabletop should not get in the way of being excited about new models.

It looks human-made and human size, not SM--size.  It could belong to Astra Militarum or Genestealer Cult.  Maybe even Sisters of Battle.

The lower bits makes me echo the sentiment that it's a Primaris flamer. In fact it really reminds me of the Primaris bolt pistol, making me think 'hand flamer'....

So another Blood Angel Lieutenant?

It doesn't fit SoB design.

It could be IG, and it would be a welcome (if they also updated Scions!)

However my book is Primaris. Looking at that heat shield, it is extremely similiar to the Agressors. The shield has that same overextension with the same angle cutting back to the underside. Except the holes in the Agressors are a 4-3-3 pattern, while this is a 3-2-2 pattern. This make me think it a pistol or Combi flamer.

Combi-weapon intercessors is my hope, my expectations is flamer interceptors (note: I hate the way Gravis armor looks).

It’s a Carbine Flamer from the new Primaris Reiver Kit. Also included will be the Stalker Heavy Bolt Pistol.

Your opinion is important, and someone posting here probably does care what you think. You should go tell them. Remember that it really hurts to come up with an idea you care about and have no one else care. Go care about something and tell them what you think. Now. Think of what it would have meant to you when you were young.

How can you determine whether it's SM size or not? If you look at just the pouches on Primaris models you wouldn't be able to tell it's SM size or human size either. huh.png
