Alright so in my game group there are a lot of loyalist players and i was thinking wouldn't it be lovely to show them some plague weapons?

Here is my first draft of this list i'm open to suggestions criticism and tactics,

its two detachments one battalion and one spear head.

I suggest you should try the plague belcher, 2 in 1 unit, 1 in a unit with a plague launcher, and then your last unit with 2 plague launchers.  You may be surprised with the damage/kills you can get from a plague belcher or two.  If you do, I hope you post your results so we can see more data on them.  For me, when Arch-contaminator is close they have even greater results.  With or without it they have still treated me nicely, more so when I was in shooting/charge range regardless of which side of that charge I was on.

Just to clarify, when you say 'plague launcher', do you mean Blight Launcher?

Also, have you tried Plague Spewers (S5, -1 AP) instead of Belchers (S4, 0 AP)?

PurpleSoulDragonSlayer, how is your Lord of Contagion going to get there? Teleport?

Yes, blight launchers, my bad. The belcher is 1/2 the points and an assault weapon, a little better if you plan on advancing. The spewer is a good choice too for the -1AP and +1S, but it is a heavy (takes away your ability to advance and fire) and cost twice as much.
It all comes down to what you think that unit will be facing. If your opponent has lots of T3 units, both weapons are wounding on 3's. Depending on their armor save or if they just have an invulnerable, the -1AP may not come into play.

The being able to advance and fire isnt probably the biggest worry as the rhinos are getting the marines up the board so from a more general standpoint I'd say the spewer is going to be more effective overall. If the rhinos werent there and it was a very foot mobile force I'd say the belcher is the better choice.

My first question is why the axes? You could exchange them for plague knives for free, giving your champion a power fist.

This does a few things, gives your unit the extra crunch with S8, and extra attacks on the normal plague marines, for higher proc chances of DttFE and is cheaper to boot.
