Sanguinius & Weekender Schedule

I'm not saying I know more than anyone else, but when Warhammer Community teased a big reveal, the global response was "we will be disapointed". Actually, it was Sanguinius in a rather striking pose.

So, I have hope that Malevolence will be released soon. Whether it will be at the weekender, well, I don't go there. So I'm not particularly concerned. But I don't see why it wouldn't be the case. We have terminators and a primarch without rules.

Although I would have liked a sanguinius walking menacingly like in the picture of his arrival on Terra, I'm pretty happy to finally have my Primarch. Now I only need to paint Horus!

Man...that pose still looks rather awkward

I think they were going for something like this: https://i.pinimg.com/236x/98/f3/7d/98f37df6458ae5e00167237507219801--superman-tattoos-superman-comic.jpg

It looks a bit off though...like Sang is too stiff

Its the HH version of Michael and Lucifer, I don't think it translates well into a model but, I'm not a sculptor. I think they did a good job translating their vision into flesh. I don't think the vision was the correct one, imo.

I think a better vision would have been Sanguinius being beautifully monstrous. So something like a power strike, or something suitable aggressive combined with his normal beauty.

So it seems all he might need is a light repose of the leg (again, we still need a 360 to judge it accurately) , as the sword/spear is mostly a matter of taste, and the whole rock issue is basically a problem of the picture perspective. And yeah, he is definitely growing on me. If the special base turns out to be what some of us are expecting, we could be in for a real treat.

Nice, really helps the pose to have the spear, it's more naturalistic than the Michael-twist with the sword. Fingers crossed they do offer both options, though I've never liked that spearhead design. Through the magic of photoshop the tines don't seem to join at the end either... Looks like an oversized snail fork.

Very odd answer on the White Scars. I guess what Tony was trying to say is that there's no models of theirs being shown at the Weekender.

The way I understood him there are no White Scars in book 8.

But can that be? A whole black book only for Blood Angels and demons?

I only watched part of the stream - but Tony has a rather annoying habit of acting dumb and ignorant rather than giving straight answers or saying that he's not allowed to say. Scars have been mentioned as being in this book for over a year now, it would be a curveball for them to be pulled at the last second.

That can’t be right; they’ve confirmed already that both the Blood Angels and the White Scars are in book 8, alongside the rules for daemons.

That would indeed be a little crazy. It was even at a recent event that they were talking about the WS units and their potential rules.

But this is FW, so....

e.: Went back and checked what was said exactly. Paraphrasing a little...

"Book 8 covers off Daemons and Blood Angels.
That leaves us with the Dark Angels. We'll have to do that.
And the White Scars obviously, are being done over the next couple of books."

Yeeeeeeeah that looks kinda bad.

Yupp, that's what he said.

Doesn't sound good.

And to add another annoying bit he didn't say that we get The Rules for Sanguinius.

What he says was that we get some rules so that he is useable.

Remember Russ?

They gave him some rules as well.

A Paragon Blade and a Power Axe if I remember correctly. ;)
