Also, could the mods edit the first post with all the leaks?  Thanks.

I work in shipping and one of my responsibilities is to get quotes for export orders and I doubt the ocean transit has a large impact on their pricing.

Fair enough. I am happily more than five years out of having to worry about this stuff in my job.

I like the suppressors, I just hope their damage is enough. I don't like that they don't have the keyword Phobos, despite that being the running theme this wave AND a requirement for ALL of the Libby's abilities.

Pretty sure that's because they aren't in Phobos armor... their chest plate has the abdominal plates like Tacticus.

They are NOT in Phobos armor. It's identified as Omnis-pattern in the mini-codex and is actually in between Tacticus and Gravis.

Huh. Black Templars with the master of the vanguard trait could be interesting.

Not so much if it's Phobos only. Neither the Lieutenant or the Captain are really melee focussed, and to benefit from that you want him in the middle of the melee
(the Librarian sadly has the best weapon, but is also a filthy warlock....)
Is it for sure Phobos only? Even so, 3x Reivers with Knives and Knife Fighters (if they get it) seems like it could be a thing, maybe.

I'm not certain, but I believe someone above stated that the Warlord has to have that keyword, not the recipients of the benefit. Which is what I was referring to.

Omnis as in omni-directional? Could we see a true assault Marine port with this armor? I didn't think they would compete directly with any manlet unit until they released this kit with the Eliminators and Infiltrators. Now they have a highly mobile Primaris Assault Marine style armor pattern that they could give some sort of chain pistol and a chainsword to. They could even be the bike-port as well by talking new cawl style melta guns.

Anyone else notice the line trooper infiltrators bolt pistol holsters are grip forward - so you would have to cross draw, that kind of irks me.

Look, I agree - I would never condone cross draw for anybody armed for a legitimate purpose.

But I will say cross draw is still pretty cool. And these marines? The epitome of rule of cool.

So quick question, I've read online that Reivers are mentioned in the Vanguard mini-codex as the close combat element of the Vanguard, which makes sense given the Phobos-pattern armor, and we know they were included as Vanguard in the Community Article about expanding your force (https://www.warhamme...r-matched-play/) but one thing I haven't been able to determine is if they are getting a stat-block update so that they have the ADEPTUS ASTARTES PHOBOS keyword. It seems like common sense that they would, but given that it's not part of their current stats I'm assuming it was created after their release and that they'll receive a future update to add it?

Iirc, it was stated by the GW Facebook Page that, yes, they're getting the PHOBOS keyword

Worked for the federation :D

From an elbow and shoulder point of view wouldn't cross draw be easier?

Regardless, I'd not seen until you pointed it out. They're very cool :D

ARC style force he we come!

Same side draw is always faster and easier than cross draw from any position, prone, standing, kneeling.
The cross draw doesn't make much practical sense either since space marines are ambidextrous.
But hey, cross draw looks very cool

I’ll try it on the range next time and when my Sergeant says what the hell I’ll just pop my thug life hat on 😂, rl aside now I’ve thought about it I can see a marine transitioning the Bolter reaching for the pistol and backhanding anyone too close with it before giving them the good news 😎

Well Cavalry Draw worked for Civil War soldiers and for federal agents, so to say they have no place or are completely ineffective is just flat out wrong. Drop the hyperbole.

On a marine, yeah, it’s probably just rule of cool.

Well, I can't help you there on account of you're wrong and should feel bad ;)

In any case, if you don't like it, then go about converting it!

If anything cavalry draw makes more sense in 40k where people use swords, but these particular models lack that detail.

Your opinion is important, and someone posting here probably does care what you think. You should go tell them. Remember that it really hurts to come up with an idea you care about and have no one else care. Go care about something and tell them what you think. Now. Think of what it would have meant to you when you were young.

In my experience cross body draw only really works with a shoulder harness. If it is on the belt, same side is better. And, actually, a leg holster (same side) is even better.

Nearly all the pictures I've seen of British Officers in ww2 (maybe ww1 as well, but I'm not as aux fait,) have the pistol on the left side, for right handed use. (Only right handed holsters were made.) So they all had to cross draw.

Of course, on the whole, British officers were only officially issued with pistols and not rifles or SMGs, so they would have them in their hands before combat started, so draw speed may not have been such an issue.

(They were also issued with their leather covered sticks, wouldn't want to face a German machine gun without that!)

But there's me waaaaay off topic. Back to toy soldiers?

I wouldn't expect them to carry the day if I were you, I have a feeling that their best role is to be played as light cavalry using Grav-Chutes/Jetpacks to find a proper line of fire where they don't get a lot of flakk.

Seems from the power level that you will be able to field 6 of them for 200ish points which is 12 autocannon shots down range. Not too shabby if you can minimize the return fire due to range and small unit footprint!
