So its been a few weeks!

Life's been rough again, but got one thing almost done.

Last week I picked up a new gaming mat to play at on. Its from https://tablewar.com/ and looks really nice. Going to get my folding table out at some point soon (Seen folded at the back in these images) and get some better action shots... but its start of school time in my household and my hobby time is limited as I do more of the chores that the wife normally does (shes a teacher so every free moment is classroom prep)

Alright so where are you at? :biggrin.:

Oklahoma, SE part.... Middle of nothing. All game stores are at least a hr and half drive away.

That all said, another local plays AT and has a great looking Astorum force. We met online (as we have no local store) and finaly after weeks of planning he was able to pop over to my house this week and have a nice game of AT.

We used the 'Graham Sanders' Mission pack. And had a really solid game, was very up in the air until around turn 4 when I was able to push my opponent of a number of objectives and start removing his titans, but in the final turn I lost 3 of my titans in the damage control phase. one cooked off and caused a chain reaction taking out two more of mine and one of his.

September is going to be a AT focused month for me. With a event possible at the end of the month going to see what I can get done. As such I got my Warbringer out of its box and carried on the painting of it.

I was working on this back in March and April at the height of the lockdown when I was stuck at home, I wasnt in a great headspace when I was working on this model then so I did some stupid things and need to work on salvaging the paint job. Lots of washes and weathering is going to be needed!

The Titan is well-painted and detailed.

You might benefit from thinning down your paints a bit. Two coats with a thinner paint often looks much better than one think one.

Oh yeah!... I was less than careful due to mental fatigue, in doing so it didn't help the depression so ended up just stopping painting the model completely. Anyway I have turned that corner now and got the titan basicly finished. Should get it done this week.

The Warbringer is looking really good. Nice work. Looks like you've got a lot to do on the terrain still. Good luck!

Yeah, hopeing to get a few days of non stop painting done. With luck I should have most done by this weekend.

Depends on how much time I lose to a maths project I have started where iam trying to develop a formula for working out whats the best type of Scenery for a table.

So The Iron Halo and been and gone.

After a hard two weeks I was able to get 3 tables fully painted!

The event was Great, had 5 players. 2 Loyalist, 2 Traitor and 1 Blackshield. I stepped in and made up the 6th were I played a variety of NPC forces. (I showed up to the event with 8 lists and the player who was playing me had a bit of choice over what type of game they got).

The event was scored in a odd way, with players earning points for themselves by killing titans and not losing resources, but winning games gave points to their faction, The winning player would then be the person who was in the Faction with the most points, and the player from that facition who had the most personal points.

Thus it was a bit of a surprise when the Blackshield player walked away with it! But a list made up of all freeblade knights is hard to counter.

Anyway... here is a photo dump of the event. more thought about the event can be found on the most recent episode of my podcast
