Or am I blind and just missed that they posted the release date somewhere?

I'm starting to think that's the day we'll see the full Abbadon reveal. Valrak was saying last week how Abby deserves a big reveal all to himself and that makes a lot of sense. I don't think GW has ever really deviated from the Saturday release schedule, so even though the new CSM pieces is HUGE, they're not going to go out of the norm just for some battlebox.

That was because it was Black Friday, and the name Blackstone... you get it.
Every other release has been a Saturday

Just to add; my local store gave me a heads up and said to expect the bulk of the new Chaos releases to fall on the last three weeks of the fiscal year. So anywhere from the 11th - 31st March. Makes sense, as that'll pad Q4 with some more sales for when GW release their annual statement.

Leaked Abbadon comic strip...
But in all seriousness, I think that it is just the reveal of Abby. I imagine by that point there might be a better idea when Vigilus 2 comes out and maybe the Black Legion release. I'm willing to bet it will be it's own Codex while Vigilus 2 will have specialist detachments for BL.

I think the day (Tuesday) is the reveals and trailers etc, and the Saturday will be Pre-orders.

Define me "the bulk". Should we consider Abaddon and Shadowspear the bulk, or should we expect... let's say, a lenghtier release?

From what he said, pretty much the new Chaos releases (led by Shadowspear, of course).

Unbearable, isn't it? The suffering of strangers, the agony of friends. There is a secret song at the centre of the world, and its sound is like razors through flesh.

I mean, I could tell you the boxset is coming out in March, even if it's the last week of March. It's not rocket surgery.

Just as a heads up, I think the saying is rocket science or brain surgery. Rocket surgery implies the rocket is organic and well... ehhh.. I'm not sure if that was your intent.

Could be a death guard rocket that has been blessed with Nurgles gifts? Now has sores, pustules and tentacles hanging on it...would that count :-)

"Rocket Surgery" is a well-trodden mixed-metaphor statement that exists only to bait you to correct it.

Or an Ork Docs specialty.
Besides though, releasing a large amount of hotly-anticipated Chaos Marine models at the close of Fiscal year is enough to make GW smash it again so that seems on the money!

Indeed. There's no way Shadowspear isn't coming out in March.

'Tis a malaphor. Which also happens to be a great name for a Chaos Lord.
But anyway, not to stray off topic too much. If Anything, Shadowspear, being a boxed set, with both CSM and Primaris, should be the vanguard of the upcoming Chaos release. Spearheading it, if you will. So should Abaddon, but I expect either the box or Abaddon to come with Vigilus 2, but I don't know if all three of them will be two much for one Saturday. So maybe Shadowspear will come along with Vigilus 2, followed by Abaddon with the first wave of CSM.
