mjrwaud Posted February 15, 2019 Share Posted February 15, 2019 Just a quick query for opinions on venatari custodes helmet options to increase variety (and workplace safety?) in the unit. Standard custodes / warden helmets are too tall, sagittarum are better but still a bit block-headed, perhaps allarus terminator helmets? Otherwise I was considering these stormcast helms: https://www.games-workshop.com/en-WW/Stormcast-Eternals-Vanguard-Raptors-2017 ... the bird motifs fit and perhaps I could convert the remaining bodies into passable sagittarum? Or perhaps something simpler like these FW dark angel upgrade helms: https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-CA/Dark-Angels-Legion-Heads-Upgrade-Set ... they seem to fit the same kind of aesthetic as the aquillon terminators / custodes contemptor helms Any ideas are greatly appreciated! Silverson Posted February 15, 2019 Share Posted February 15, 2019 I used the sagittarum guard helms and think they fit really well, as a note tho I had to remove the spike from the top and cut a small amount form the bottom so the helm sat in enough for me to be able to rotate it to look left or right. Those allarus helms do look pretty much perfect, the filigree on the crown really helps signify them as custodes. Maybe it's heresy, but those helms might even look better on the venatari than the allarus models themselves! It's a bit of a shame...
