Excessus Posted February 20, 2019 Share Posted February 20, 2019 Meanwhile, on Vigilus... A lone astartes clad in dark crimson armour looked down on the forces clashing below. His vantage point at the top of the ruined cathedral gave him a perfect tactical overview over the situation and his astartes senses gave the keen eyesight to catch the vital points of the battle where a breakthrough was going to be made. Goading the forces into open conflict had been easy enough, and the plan was coming together smoothly. "- It seems to be going smoothly" The voice from behind surprised him, though he would be the last one to admit it to his Alpha Legionnaire colleague that always managed to sneak up on him. "- Yes, they are expending their resources at a marvelous pace. At this rate we don't have to worry about much opposition when..." The signal from the device fastened to his forearm interrupted him, several green dots on the display were within the first circle now. "- And there they are, it seems they will arive on schedule." A third astartes made his way to the vantage point, managing to surprise neither of the astartes already there. His bionic attachments whirred as his heavy armour made it up the stairs. The armour was black with gold details, but his heritage could be seen through the iconography favored by the IV:th Legion. He had been quiet so far but they knew he had been listening in. "- Good, good. We will use this area as a mustering point for our forces, the preparations for fortifying the surrounding buildings has already been made. We must have everything ready before He comes." The two others agreed.
