Greetings Fetids Ones,

Most of you have read or are or plan to read The Lords of Silence. Now from this as another great Death Guard novel hits us, albeit a HH one but still its DG.

I have been busting to get my hands on it, and it came out, I got it and straight into reading it. So far Im enjoying the book greatly, the way Mortarion looks at the battle, his Death Shroud. So far, so good.

And now I find the short story Lanterns Light, I get and read it straight away. This short story was great. Mortarions thinking towards his father, the other voice and how he got Lantern. Fantastic read.

What are others thoughts on The Buried Dagger and Lanterns Light

Where can I find lanterns light? I’m curious about The Buried Dagger but it’s so deep into the heresy that it kind of turns me off since I haven’t read the whole series. Loved the First Heretic but it’s very early on and seems like it stands alone well.

@WickedJester1013 its up to 54 now, the buried dagger is the latest to come out. The Lords of Silence is a great book to read, dont know if its on audio, but great DG read.

Theres a number of short stories for DG, Lanterns Light, Endurance, Unification. Those ones are from the top of my head

I posted a review on  the black library forum here about the Buried Dagger. It is a terrible novel. I highly suggest not reading it.

Couldn't disagree more! Enjoyed most of it a lot, especially all of the DG stuff.

The KE stuff wasn't always amazing but had some great reveals and character moments.

I have to agree with Bulwyf just read it couple of days ago and really despised it as a novel especially with how much of an idiot it portrayed Mortarion was being led like a mindless fool by others. The imperium bit was pretty uninteresting as well, yes from the beginning I wasn’t interested in that part but still reckon it would of been better spitting it up into 2 Novellas since both stories had nothing to do with each other apart from Garro originally being from the Death Guard
