a full line revamp, wonder if these beasties will have deamonkin and dark mech keywords.

It could be the community people being cheeky about the fact that we've seen one Venomcrawler but not this other Venomcrawler that isn't in Shadowspear. Iunno. For now I'm keeping my skepticism.

 

 

Or they're basing that statement of a variant not being the same model. ^^

I keep asking myself if there is any way that this kit could be added to or configured to make a MK2 design Defiler?  We know the defiler is a relic of the old design style but the spider feels much smaller than the defiler, just spitballing ideas here.

I'd go absolutely crazy if there was a new defiler coming, but I really, really doubt it. Far more likely that this is a variant of the spiderbot. GW aren't in the business of replacing plastic vehicle kits like that (or plastic kits in general where at all possible). While the defiler doesn't fit the new aesthetic at all, I suspect we're stuck with it for the foreseeable future

GW seems to have really 'refined' the daemon engine aesthetic since the release of the Helldrake and Fiends. Spiderbot is a must buy.

I agree as I was spitballing ideas.  We have the current spider that seems to be in a mixed support roll.  We are getting a different one and it will have that flamer making me think close it is melee support.

As much as I'd love a reborn Defiler, It's one of those cases of "not believing it until I see it".

To be honest, the defiler model is ok for me, although a bit dated (15 years old now?). I'd prefer some newer things.

 

Namely the rest of the daemonic dinobots so I can build some kind of combiner-gestalt daemon titan with them.

The defiler model has aged terribly. It will look a bit out of place next to the newer daemon engines; but I don't expect GW to release a redesign just yet.

Funny enough the Myphitic Blight Hauler and Plague Burstcrawler both have room for easy change ups for an alt kit.  But the Blight Haulers would need a overhaul as they are quick build kit.

I wonder how big the legs are. Even if we don't get a new defiler I wonder if these legs could be the basis of a conversion. Seems like they'd be too small, though.

The Spiders look a bit small to mix their bits with Defiler.

Come on GW, why do you design spiderlike daemon engines and then give them too few legs? Cheapskates. The mechanical pedipalps are a nice touch though.

Is Daemonkin a thing in this edition? If so I want Tzeentch Daemonkin.

Right now I cannot remeber if GW did release any dual kit this edition. Od my memory serves right, every kit should be its own thing.
