Really excellent job on the magnetising with those Supressors! The tabard looks good too. :tu:

what do you think about that i use my primaris dreadnought as chaplain dreadnought?

I'm very easy-going when it comes to "counts-as" in a friendly game. As long as it isn't overly difficult to keep track of, I'm game. Just be aware that you need to always check it is okay with your opponent first; some people really don't like it.

If you intend to convert it and use it long-term as another unit, then you need to look at a few factors. The size/height/weapons placement etc can all give unintended advantages, so make sure you consider all of this. Equally, if your model is larger than usual, you will pretty much have to accept that ypur enemy can hit you easier - it's not good claiming that it should actually be a little smaller than that!

Rules-wise, I'm not sure how good the Chaplain dread would be in this edition. As I understand it, the primaris dread brings quite a lot of firepower to the table, and for a reasonable points cost. Hopefully some our brethren can weigh in on this.

I have been thinking about acquiring a Chaplain Dread myself, few points:

Hey a character with less than 10w so he can be screened and not targeted. He can be equipped with two lascannons

He does not get the reroll All failed Hits in melee Aura, but does give +1 s in 5''.

For a second Dread ccw He does not get an extra attack but only rerolling 1s.

From this I take two possible ways to play him:

With a double lascannon on each Arm as fire Support, pumping put 4 lascannon shots at bs 2 each turn and sage from enemy fire next to your normal units.

With a ranged weapon on one shoulder and your melee guys. You will wound meqs on 3 and geq on 2 if you take axes. Fists will be raised to 10 which will wound Bikes and the like on 5. Here I see either a footslogging list or maybe a gunship with swordbros, chappy, chappy Dread and castellan.

Not entirely sure how points intensive all of that is, mind you. Just ideas I had reading about him. Its a cool idea so I will propably build one at some point.
