.o0( Will Terminators be able to use the Cyclone Missile Launcher and does that enable Astartes to run a 4 missile launcher team? )

Whatever will be in the book you can guarantee that the loyalist scum gets the better end of the deal, hehe...

I am curious as to what the Astartes will get aside from terminators.

I mean,

Veterans? Technically you already have them, as being a Veteran is a specialism. Take a marine, make him a veteran.

Champions? Technically you already have them. Take an intercessor sergeant, give him a power sword, and a combat specialism.

Apothecary? Again, specialism. Take a marine, make him a medic. Done.

Since special chapter units are not a part of the game, all that is left is, what? Ancients? Dreads? Servitors? Not many options.

Might it be that astartes get Terminators and little else? If so, I don't think loyalists will get the better end of the deal.

(Although 4 missiles in a team does seem excesively good)

If I remember right they said that they are getting the stuff from shadowspear. Probably not the jumpy guys, but the new troop choice and the snipers. Other than that maybe Ancients? Aggressors are a strong possibility as well

Excited to be able to add a Terminator to my Deathwatch KT. If they do the rules right and have proper checks/limits, I think it will add a lot of variety and diversity to games without unbalancing the game, which would be good. Way more excited for this than Commanders, which really doesnt fit the small KT dynamic and storyline IMO. Hope the Terminator melta-fist option is available and unique to DW termies. Got the KT Cassius Salamander Termie just waiting to join my team. Edited by Krom4095

Well the traitors get combi weapons and power weapons without having to be a furry. 5 Combi flamers on a TDA squad could be pretty good.

I thought KT Arena was supposed to be the close confines "space hulk" supplement with all the doors, hallways, etc?

DW Termie w Melta-Fist one hand, Storm Bolter w SIA other hand would be stellar!

The Space Hulk references are more about the match between a small elite force (Terminators) and a horde force (Genestealers).

I'm curious how the Adeptus Custodes are going to fit into the picture. The core Kill Team rules still apply, so your command roster will continue to be based on one of the factions therein (and any other faction such as the Kroot). If the Elites expansion is similar to the Commanders expansion in terms of how it affects your command roster, then we'll have a situation where the Elites options are only used when the players agree or, in the case of campaigns/leagues/tournaments, as the campaign/league/tournament allows (e.g., your kill team follows the normal/core rules most of the time, but allows for Elites under certain circumstances). So I'm wondering if Adeptus Custodes will be an Elites option for factions with the IMPERIUM keyword. And in this, I'm wondering if such factions will be able to take a whole team of Adeptus Custodes (however small that might be given their likely potency) or if you'll be limited to one/a few Adeptus Custodes in addition to your normal faction models.

As far as the Space Hulk Terminators versus Genestealers matchup goes, I would be leery of combining a partial Elites (one side pure Elites, the other side pure horde) with the Arena expansion. One of the key tactics for using the Terminators effectively in Space Hulk is making effective use of Overwatch and long corridors to take care of advancing Genestealers. The Arena maps are very up close and personal, very much a knife fight in a phone booth setting (hopefully you yung'ns understand what a phone booth is - perhaps you've seen pictures of one in a history book ... ? :tongue.: ). I would recommend saving such matchups for normal (i.e., non-Arena) killzones, or when using Space Hulk tiles for your Kill Team battles.

Death Ray design/Zone Mortalis whatever I can make corridors with to have my super elite team of Terminators be used for what they are supposed to be used for. I say bring it hoard of Genestealers, show me the advantage of your phone booth! The Emperors fury has no use for phones
