Mandragola Posted August 11, 2019 Share Posted August 11, 2019 Great stuff. Watch those reactors! I like my warlords mostly with plasma and gatling or bellicosa and quake. Always good to have a gun on there that doesn't heat you up. This combination is only for the picture. In my first two games i ran the Warlord with Bellicosa/Plasma/AML with some success. Today i used Plasma/Quake/AML. It was okay. I fielded a Warlord and two Warhounds against 4 Warhounds. It was an interesting match. I kept the hunting pack at bay. I lost both my Warhound. I killed one enemy Warhound and wounded two more badly. At the end we agreed to call it a draw. Sounds like fun. Personally I like to match my weapons up by range. The quake cannon is awkward because if the plasma or gatling gun are in range then it's got a penalty to hit. So I tend to pair it with a bellicosa and match 24" range guns together. The short range of 24" weapons isn't a big problem for Astorum, as we can close the gap very quickly. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you have them in your back you won´t get them out there. I think i will go ahead with all of my Reavers. Wanna try out the Corsair Maniple. I have a thrid but without the launcher. And i´m looking for a fourth. And it seems that i´ve found a solution for the armour. From AoS Stormcasts shields. i will sand them down and cut them into shap and add some plastcard trim. I think that will work fine. So much work... We both ignored the others Warlord. The reavers and the warhounds had been the priority targets. In round 1 i turned my Warlord a bit toward his CC Reaver. This let him seek cover behind a building instead of giving power to locomotion to close the distance. that gave me one extra round to complete my mission. And i was lucky that my opponent widespread all his damage over my titans. Best example is Aquila Gladio. All i needed to do was to turn my Warlord first round toward him and he retreated behind cover. That alone had given me two round without any threat from this reaver. And when he came into striking distance i had been prepared. All the reaver did was to fire with his turbolaser twice during the whole game. But i´ll have to wait ´tll a friend is back from hs holidays. I will turm me sockets for the domes. Actual they are high enought to cover a reaver without it´s AML. The sockets will be 1 1/2" high.
