A note I'm trying to avoid bringing and huge unit erasing stuff as I know it's just not fun having your opponent erase half an army in a turn. If it's their first game of 30k, have you thought about having them play each other and you could act as a kind of GM? helping each player out, i.e. giving pointers on each others tactics and what each unit is good at. Then they will get a bit more of a feel of what they're doing as they're each playing against a 'new player'. I'm not sure that playing against a 4000 point space wolf army with 45 outflanking gray slayers, a spartan, etc is an easy intro game! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hehe, depends om how many lightning strike fighters with kraken penetrators, typhons and phosphex mortars you bring to face that 4k space wolf list. Unless you know your opponent won't bring flyers you should consider to bring some anti-air. I find Fire raptor and Sicaran Arcus to be good anti-air units since they are quite useful regardless of whether the opponent brought flyers or not. One guy is fairly big on wysiwyg the other is a fan of proxies so I'll have to see what they want to do. Only one owns a flyer and it is a storm wolf so not many concerns there.
