Best use of stratagem?

5x Aggressors for 185 pts. At 5 strong they get 30 shots, standing still they can do they twice for 60 shots! If your Crimson Fist you’re likely outnumbered 2:1 to get a +1 and tolling additional shots on 5s and 6s.

Centurion Devastator Squad

If you can, watch the replay on twitch of the WH40K GT that took place this past weekend. One player fielded 2x6 Centurion Devastator Squads.

1 Squad would have 108 shots; Hurricane Bolter 12 shots (always RF due to beta bolter rule) and 6 Heavy bolter shots for a total of 18 shots per model.

With a rhino primaris, chapter tactic and a phobos character with one of the new warlord traits you're looking at triggering Bolter Drill on 3+

I've found it to work fairly well with 10 Veteran Intercessors (upgraded with the Indomitus Crusaders detachment) using Rapid Fire. Especially with a Captain and Lieutenant providing support. The new Target Priority trait would bolster this further.

Fortunately Centurion Devastators had their base points cut in half in the CA 2018.

I fielded a 3 model unit using the hurricane / heavy bolter build and it was like a broom for enemy infantry and even put quite a few wounds into T7 and lower vehicles just because of the volume of fire. When I managed to get a Captain within 6" and used Bolter Drill it was truly beautiful :)

So it sounds like there might be some things I need to purchase to be up to date on everything g we have available to us. Right now I have the CRB and the codex.... what am I missing?

The Indomitus Crusaders specialist detachment is in Vigilus Defiant, alongside the stratagem that works with boltrifles.

Target Priority is a Warlord trait from Shadowspear.

While costly cp wise, using dev cents bolstered by a target priority captain/lieutenant nets you some serious damage when you use bolter drill and seismic devastation. It averages (from a minimum sized squad) 12+ mortal wounds in one round of shooting plus whatever else gets through. This only increases with a rhino primaris tacked on.
