I think "minty fresh" perfectly describes your Sons of Horus. The black face plates on a brighter armour scheme is not something I've seen before.

Cpt_Reaper, I remember seeing black face plates on some Space Wolves twenty something years ago and thought Badass. Started the practice with my own wolves in back in the day and it seems to work on the SoH as well. (SoH paint armour sections black/use Cthonian Glyphs to denote standing/status at a squad and company level)

Really nice clean work, I like the basing style too.

Cheers Pearson73, the bases are the Halodyne range from MicroArt Studios in Poland - a bit pricey, but very nice casts.

i have no words for how awesome those are!!

that green is perfect, might i ask how you painted it?

Thanks Havoc95, the paints used are listed in my blog entry here. The entry also has a link to the SoH painting guide by Christoffer on his site Dorn's Arrow. It's what I used and he describes the process better than I ever could. :smile.:

Thanks Pearson:thumbsup:

The energy effect was a late addition and the first time I've had a go at OSL - a bit nerve wracking given the mini was all but finished at that point! I wasn't sure it would work, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

That SOH Praetor is a great homage to the short story in Age of Darkness ‘Little Horus’; was that part of the inspiration?

He’s make for a great Aximand.

Entirely by coincidence - at the time I just wanted a brutal-looking, pseudo-Abaddon Praetor. ;)
