Phobos (librarian) tactics

Just thought I'd share two tactics I'd been pondering with the release of the vanguard codex.

Both make use of the temporal corridor power as I think it really shines amongst those on offer.

Firstly, give a phobos librarian tome of malcador which gives him access to null zone. Now you have a far more reliable way to get the librarian where he needs to be without. Advance-cast null zone-cast temporal corridor. This gives you a significant movement. Also using this you can really punish opponents that leave small gaps in their screen by infiltrating the librarian and using this combo to null zone a Knight for example turn 1.

Secondly, is using temporal corridor to move a siege breaker captain in the psychic phase so that the indomitable warlord trait remains active without the captain being stuck.

So those are the two tactics i thought I'd share. Do any of you have any tactics that have sprung to mind using the new powers? Or in fact any of the new phobos stuff that will benefit your brothers?

Nothing Librarian focused, but the Lt. that can deep strike is a good Primaris way of dropping his aura where you need it. Add him to the Liberation force specialist detachment for CF and give him the warlord trait with field commander and you now have a way to drop down both auras from deep strike for a Primaris only force. That's pretty cool, I think. Edited by Lemondish

Have they updated this trait? I thought only if the moved in the movement phase of the current turn (you opponents turn), he loses the aura.

I like Mind Raid and Tenebrous Curse. You could do 2 Mortal wouynds to characters, gain a CP and slow them down (if not flying) every turn! It is possible quite a threatning prospect for some support characters who would want to keep up with their troops.

So after reading it over and over again, it occurred to me that grabbing Tome of Malcador with Null Zone puts the bubble around the Librarian, which is an important distinction for the warlord trait Shoot and Fade. Gives you the option to try and cast it in relative safety, shoot his pistol, and then move it into position or move him back out of range of reprisals if it fails.

...or let your units kill one nullzoned unit, shoot with the libby at anything, move to a second unit to nullzone it, then proceed to shoot that one to bitz.

Though that strategy dumps quite an investment (relic, WT, squishy character) into something that might fail depending on the dice of several psychic powers, or counter psykers, or screening. Mind Raid and Tenebrous Curse as psyker sniper bullets were always worth it so far - damage characters (even behind screening) to make your opponent more reluctant to throw it in somewhere, take the last wounds off some model that is in CC with one of your shooty units (or a tough as nails one), generate CP, cause traffic jams...quite flexible set of easy to cast powers, that don't require any investment beyond the psyker and no other dependencies, and have a considerable effective range.

Very good points!
