I hope this will bring us another round of large plastic kits like some of the previous Apocalypse releases
What were the kits released for the last iteration of Apocalypse?

The different Lords of War for each faction. Knights, the Lord of Skulls, Tesseract Vault, Baneblade & Friends, and the Wraithknight iirc

The 6th Ed Apoc release saw the Lord of Skulls and the Vault. Baneblade way proceeded that. Imperial Knights and Wraithknight were not related to Apoc.

They shall be my finest warriors, these men who give of themselves to me. Like clay I shall mould them, and in the furnace of war forge them. They will be of iron will and steely muscle. In great armour shall I clad them and with the mightiest guns will they be armed. They will be untouched by plague or disease, no sickness will blight them. They will have tactics, strategies and machines so that no foe can best them in battle. They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marines and they shall know no fear.

The last iteration (2013) was the Necron Tesseract Vault and the CSM Lord of Skulls. The Eldar Wraithknight as well, it came out just a month before the apocalypse book.
The first apocalypse (think it was in 2007) release was the baneblade.
The 2nd in 2009 was the Ork Stompa and the Shadosword (and variants)

I have no idea about the source or accuracy and can’t even remember where I read it but thought I’d mention it in case anyone else can shed some light on it.
Personally I want to see the Primaris Overlord flyer from the DI novel. That would give us our plastic Thunderhawk at last. A big Mechanicus something would be awesome also.

Your opinion is important, and someone posting here probably does care what you think. You should go tell them. Remember that it really hurts to come up with an idea you care about and have no one else care. Go care about something and tell them what you think. Now. Think of what it would have meant to you when you were young.

I doubt they’d do that over the thunderhawk, in particular because it is a much larger craft and is probably too big to be done in plastic. I’d look to forgeworld for the Overlord if I were you.

I was thinking Overlord too as it's curiously the only thing mentioned in fluff that doesn't have a model yet. I'm also surprised nobody was yelling plastic Thunderhawk yet. I guess the meme finally died.

I would think that with FW renewing the resin model that hope had died for a good few years. But then again, there was a thunderhawk clock in the squat announcement video, next to a sisters of battle one...
Oh god GW please stop doing this, I have just started earning money and it would be nice to be able to save some, y'know?

The overlord is Stormbird sized isn't it?

Oh, man, is it really possible that they might be finally releasing a plastic thunderhawk to support the new Apocalypse edition?

It's possible sure. But at this point we have absolutely zero indication if there will even be supporting model releases for the new Apoc, so what they might be if there are any is nothing but wildest speculation.

Anyone notice the "3 vortex missile" warning text on the side of the box? Wonder if that's just fluff or actual models/weapons to use in the game.

I waited many years for a plastic Valkyrie and my faith was rewarded.
If I have to wait the rest of my life (and I don't think I will) for a plastic Thunderhawk, IT WILL STILL BE WORTH IT.

There was a rumour a while ago about a new edition of Apocalypse coming this year and it would have an updated big model and a new big one as well.

Initially my interest for apocalypse was non exist and but it might give me something to do with my vanguard miniatures space marine and guard equivalents other than line them up around the titanicus models.

Between the potential for a gw airbrush and a plastic thunderhawk my current account may be in trouble. However I think it's safe; there are no plastic sisters to ride in it or primarch to ride upon!

If Gw releases another airbrush and it isn't any better than their last one your account shouldn't notice the small wound. If I recall their last one was maybe $30.00 usd. Super un-useful for anything beyond a base coat. I would be shocked if they released an airbrush that was actually with the money.
On the other hand I can't speculate on the red loss a plastic Thunderhawk will inflict...
Best of luck.

But just because I may not be able to play this it doesn’t mean I’m not feeling the hype! And if there’s a giant Mechanicus thing coming I’ll get it just to have it (and maybe one day there will be a cure or treatment for my disability). And there were those rumours of a plastic warhound.

Hmm sadly my chronic fatigue syndrome disability may make playing this impossible even with the unit trays. Certainly with my Tyranids sadly when who knows how many points I have (especially all the purestrain stealers) If I shift my knights to the top of the to-do pile maybe I could join in a multiplayer team maaaaybe.

If as suggested it is going to offer a streamlined ruleset then it could be ideal for you, offering a more manageable way to play "regular sized" games of 1500 - 3000 points.

Apoc is and has always been super popular.
That it’s super slow and clunky cause it’s just 40K with more and bigger models is well-known and established - but people keep playing it anyways cause to them the spectacle is the point.
Apoc as its own game system is pretty much a no-brainer.
So true, but at least in my group its a love/hate.
The last big game (a few years back at this point) pretty much fractured it, for good as a lot of people got pissed by the end of it.

Hopefully a coherent system designed for that scope of game that lets the average game last more than 1.5 turns will help with that
