I kitbashed a rotor cannon using shadowspear parts

That makes a lot of sense. There is no WYSIWYG for Obliterators anyway as it's just a random array of weapons and the Havocs sure can use the Chaincannon barrels a lot better. ^^

Man that's so much better then what I did!

I scratch built mine but yours is 100x better!

...Does that Astartes have pigtails?

If you can get some burst cannons from a Tau player and put them on your (plentiful) heavy bolters you should be golden. Glue them together (the multiple barrels) cut them off under the round part where the barrels come out away from the burst cannon hardware and glue it to a heavy bolter with the barrel trimmed off.

Stealth suit burst cannons would be harder to find but might work better (more compact).

I used a Opinel #10 knife that’s razor sharp and just tried cutting as straight as I could.

Edit: this knife. https://www.amazon.com/Opinel-Carbon-Blade-Folding-Knife/dp/B000UH0RNS/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=Opinel%2B10&qid=1554249759&s=gateway&sr=8-2&th=1&psc=1

They'd work but they are fairly short and imo aesthetically not anywhere as cool as chaincannons or assault cannons etc. T'au burst cannons are probably my least favourite gatling cannon design.

I cut the Chaingun turret off of my Oblits, I haven't got the new Havocs yet so I'm still waiting to see how it will match up. I did find some old assault cannons I had from an old Dark Angels kit. They do fit really well, and look the part.

I notice the bases are bigger for havocs making squad swapping of Chainguns from Havocs to CSM a little...awkward. So I'm probably going to use the assault cannon variant on the heavy bolter CSM that come in the new box. I'm not sure yet if I'll actually use CSM troops with Chainguns yet to be honest.

The havoc have a backpack for the gatling canon whereas the solution above (kitbash obli gatling+ autocanon) has a barrel. I think that this kitbash solution is really nicer than the havoc one, they look more CSM. The havocs look heavier.

I'll mould at least 3 to 5 of those new kitbash kit (obli+autocanon)

BTW, you can easily swap the shadowspear heavy weapons (plasma/autocanon) meaning it is easy to add gatling also.

I just got the FW ones with Mk III marines to avoid the scaling issues from conversions. Those bendy ammo feeds are doing my head in though, and I got ten to assemble....
