So I decided to man up and conquer my fear of painting yellow, planning to do a full Force of these chaps. Here is my first completed model (bar the base):

Seems your fear was entirely unfounded, because the yellow looks great on the Dreadnought. Very solid work on the weathering as well.  Does this mean you're dropping the Reclaimers of Dorn though?

The Imperial Fists Redemptor is well-painted.

Wolf Scout- Catachan barking toad eggs+ Thousand Sons Marine= Fun! (Wolves of Catachan)
Sisters of Battle+ Fenrisian Beer- Inhibitions- Sanity= Trouble! (Order of the Blazing Heart Rocket Punch Pimp Magnet She-Wolf)

Reasons to use the Steel Crusaders ('Codex: Space Marines' supplement): Because you think giving Sternguard Veterans a heavy bolter wtih special issue HEAVY BOLTER ammunition is ALMOST as much fun as shoehorning an Earthshaker cannon into a Land Raider.

Reasons to use the Iron-hearted Angels ('Codex: Blood Angels' supplement): Because you think the Librarian Dreadnought needs Furious Charge AND It Will Not Die to beat down a Chaos-worshiping punk and his Defiler, while a Stormraven needs a Vanquisher cannon to beat down this punk's Heldrake.

I’d say you can call the yellow fear well and truly conquered. Excellent work.

I'd always assumed you already had an Imperial Fists army since you are basically the biggest Fists fan on Terra. Great job on the yellow and the weathering is spot on too.

As the others say, the yellow is really nicely done and the weathering is good too; not over the top.

The Imperial Fist (an LT? CAPT?) is well-painted.

Suggested base decoration: A bisected enemy of the Imperium, against whom the Fist used iaido. Don't forget a crescent-shaped bloodstain where the Fist shook the blood off his power sword.

looks awesome...but...ermm.gif  on the converted hand, paint thin lines to show a fist with finger tops, not just a flat top of a fist huh.png  otherwise it'll kinda detract from the awesomeness that it is wub.gif

cheers, Mithril

I love both the rich yellow and your very effective weathering (it's just subtle enough to look really realistic)! Regarding the Captain, I'd say the one area that still needs a bit of work and contrast are the hands, to make them look a bit more like articulated gauntlets, and less like pieces of painted plastic.

In any case, keep up the brilliant work! :)
