I'm struggling a bit with list writing since I'm still dusting off my memories of 7th ed. My trusty Death Guard aside for now, I'm looking at starting up forces from two different legions, the arch-heretics of the XVII Legion, and the wild and unreserved V Legion. My common aim is to have a starter 2000 list that's fun and characterful, but still effective. Input on either or both would be really appreciated! Erren Posted April 6, 2019 Share Posted April 6, 2019 I like leaving the dreadnought home for the V Legion, too. I think the V Legion force is missing some upgrades that will eat up some points, too. The praetor should mastercraft his weapon and take a cyber hawk. More power glaives on sergeants! (That’s allowed, right? My book XIII is in the mail). Consider trying to magnetize the weapons on the outrider bikes. I’ve found the twinlinked plasma too expensive for its points, but I think that might be my limited meta and skill. I’m just cautioning that you might like the option to turn them into a melee unit in the future. Multimeltas and 2xHKs on the javelins. You can deep strike and unleash lots of S8 immediately. Dozer blades on the sicaran. Not sure how much that adds. Maybe add in the new special V Legion speeder? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think only Infantry benefit. Added your suggestions, sans Cyberhawk, and dropped the Master Crafted to add a Glaive to the Sky Slayer Sgt. Mango Polo Posted April 7, 2019 Share Posted April 7, 2019 New book. Chogorian now limits you to 1 HS (and you give away VPs if all your jetbikes are lost). In addition the Power Glaive went up by an extra 10 pts, so there's absolutely no point to one on a Praetor when you can have a Paragon Blade. Might also want to reconsider that on the Sky Slayers.
