I was thinking basing it on maybe https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Khorne-Bloodreavers or https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Chaos-Warriors-Regiment-2016 Or I really like this guy: https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Exalted-Deathbringer-with-Impaling-Spear I think maybe these are too big to be guardsmen, though. Maybe something like that could be a counts-as-straken? But that is getting a little (points-wise) expensive for cannon fodder. I haven't painted anybody yet (working up to it...) but here are some pictures of what I have so far. The kaerls (two of an eventual three squads) - they're basically catachans mixed with fantasy marauders: And some shieldmaidens (snipers): (My wife was complaining about the lack of females.
