Captive Tyranids for Inq28(?)

I recently paint stripped the first ever metal Hive Tyrant I ever built, which it's safe to say was not particularly well painted (it was made before I understood about THINNING YOUR PAINTS) and was also rather badly modelled. I was originally going to convert it into a Swarmlord, but I decided it would make more sense to just make the plastic Swarmlord kit look more impressive with conversions. However, with a pair of WIP Flyrants (both with different wing setups) and a desire to do something different, I hatched a plan- and so was conceived "Subject Secundus".

My basic idea is as such: A rogue Bio-Magos (not outright Chaotic but definitely a heretic, albeit one convinced he's trying to help the Imperium) has somehow acquired an injured but alive Hive Tyrant, along with some other critters and a section of the reproductive tract of a crashed/otherwise incapacitated Bio-Ship, which has been "restored" to working order to create new specimens "on demand". He intends to use the captured specimens to reverse engineer the Tyranid genome, both to try and develop weapons against the Tyranid menace and also to try and develop new technology from their biology; most notably a very heretical super-soldier project, using implanted genetic material and copied biomorphs to transform a variety of unfortunate "volunteers" into mini-Astartes.

Of course, it all goes wrong, and the Hive Tyrant escapes, liberating its fellow creatures, subjugating the excised Hive Womb to its will (allowing it to birth more creatures to serve the Tyrant) and worst of all psychically dominating the wills of the "Tyrannized Soldiers" and turning them into mind-slaves. Now there's a bunch of very angry Tyranids running rampant through the research facility- which annoyingly enough also contains very valuable data and all sorts of rare genetic samples that the Hive Mind must not be allowed to absorb. Unfortunately, due to its position in the Imperium Nihilus, and the generally stretched resources of the Inquisition, simple Exterminatus is not an option. Thus, a task force must be assembled to purge the beasts before they can summon the Hive Fleets to their location, and also preferably confiscate any research contained within the base.

The question is, what ruleset would be best for this scenario? I reckon "regular" 40K wouldn't be particularly well suited- I'm torn between Kill Team and Inq28 (which IIRC has a huge scope for customization/original creations, but I don't know if it would support something as large and powerful as a Hive Tyrant).
