Using Tainted Cohort

Does any one actually use them as is or do they just bulk out your blightlords?

You can actually do several things with them. The HPS terminator can double as a foul blightspawn that looks unique. And add the other two to a larger blight lord squad. The extra bubonic axe can be pinned to the HPS TDA to further bulk out the squad if need be. The balesword terminator also makes for a great terminator lord.

 

The main thing is the tainted court are a unique squad to fortify your army in a multitude of ways.

Well, considering they are technically a datasheet.. They give you a "Termicide" Blightlird option, allowing for 3 x 3 Tainted Cohort + 3 x 10 Blightlords

I wondered if the datasheets perhaps were unique - with them being basically characters - but they are not. So yeah, you can have three "Lord Felthius" (who is just a LoC with Manreaper), and indeed 3x3 BL terminators (locked in their specific loadout though) on top of the normal three units you can field.

Now that I look at that kit, they would make a good set for DG in Killteam. You get a Deathshroud look-alike and three variants of Blightlords. Cool.
