*******

This is meant to be a bit of a dirty list, partially as theoryhammer, partially as a list I can pull out if/when That Guy shows up, and partially as a basis from which I can then tone things down.

CONCEPT:

Null Deploy, with the exception of perhaps the Contemptor Mortis if I can appropriately hide him somehow. It’s a waste of an Anvillus Drop Pod, but according to the red book, Contemptor-Mortis cannot take Dreadnought Drop Pods as DT*. The Anvillus fills out the FA slot and also gets me the two Dread Pods down on T1.

...which is important, b/c they will get a 3+ cover save from DoR + Shrouded AND convey the same benefit to any of my units that are behind them. VERY useful in this scenario.

The Angel’s Tears Drop in first, since they are the utility squad, hoping to blow almost anything away with 24x AC shots. Siege Breaker goes with them to add Tank Hunters to those potential Rending hits, aiming to glance nearly anything in the game to death.

Next come the Dawnbreakers.

Then the Dread Pods, milking Inertial Guidance System to land between friend and foe.

Sanguinius and the Assault Marine bomb land last since they won’t scatter and should be able to thread the needle.

Do as much damage as possible T1.

Hope like heck to survive the counter attack.

T2 charge with a buttload of AP2 at I5, a Leviathan, and a Cortus goin haywire.

Sangy gets Spear since that is the most utilitarian and the list is light on AT as it is.

What could possibly go wrong?

Scatter.

Enemy shooting (especially w/ Ignores Cover), especially Blasts.

The enemy charges first.

Scoring: the Assault squad is the only scoring unit.

Need to play it right to avoid those.
