Konrad Curze: The Night Haunter

Recommended Posts

Was up very early on games-workshop.com so ordered it there (about 9 hours ago?). Didn't really have the money until payday but I'm not making the same mistake I made with Angron haha. Those eBay prices :(

I love origin stories and one about this complete mentalist should be a crazy ride.

I do kind of wish ADB has gotten his lazy butt in gear for this!! But I know Haley will do a superb job. Gives me the shivers thinking about Cruzes home world.

On one hand, Haley did some fantastic work in perturabo and corax. On the other, his night lords and curze in pharos suck.

So I'm cautiously optimistic

Same here. Corax' and Perturabo we're amazing. His NL twins were the best NL characters since the trilogy but overall I was greatly disappointed and how they fell like flies against the UM.

Eager to see how this will turn out (would be thankfull for a review ;)). Not able to get the LE but I'll be damned if I miss the regular one.

I think it's sold out, no option for me to buy :sad.:

Weird that the last 3 or 4 before Angron sold so slowly yet these last two have absolutely flown off the shelves. I guess people really do find the traitors more interesting?

EDIT: There's still the option to pre-order on the games-workshop site, fwiw: https://www.games-workshop.com/en-AU/Primarchs-Konrad-Curze-HB-2019

Yeah, GW's site has local stock. It's seriously annoying, especially when one region has out of production stuff still happily on sale, while it's been sold out since the launch weekend everywhere else.

For what it's worth, the US site still has it, and I'd assume shipping to the UK would be cheaper than paying ebay scalpers...

I guess you won't see import taxes either, since it's a book? At least that's the case over here in Germany. Heck, they didn't even fleece me when I got a figurine from Japan, which was bundled with a small booklet. Apparently that book being there was enough for them to declare it as a book order as a whole, even though we all know that people bought it for the figure.... not that I'll complain.

than paying ebay scalpers...

Dunno, I found only one Angron listing on the ebay. Only one of 2500 copies. Just saying.

As someone who missed Angron and had to buy it from the ebay scalpers, let me tell you there was a few up there and they were not cheap. Just a quick look at the "Sold" section shows 32 copies sold, all of which are exorbitant except a couple which sold for around the price on BL.

Have to admit I've been dragging my feet in recent times wrt LE variants (I've wanted) as they seemed to take forever to sell out. The number of recent LE that have gone within days recently means I will have to jump in quicker in future.

Which means just 2-3%. Not like "scalpers got all books nothing left", right? I mean it looks like the overwhelming majority of buyers are warhammer fans, not scalpers.

There are 5 Night Haunter books on ebay at  the moment, 3 from one person. It's reassuring to know the majority were genuine warhammer fans with this book too.

I thought they had put a one copy limit on limited editions going forward. Is the limit only to be applied to solar war books? Seems odd if that’s the case.

Limited editions seem to have taken off in popularity again. They went through a bit of a rough patch as far as sales went. I think they sell best when folks know there will be a series they can collect and display. The annoying habit of producing one in a limited edition and the rest in standard release format would annoy any collector.

That was just the Australian ebay, if you include other countries such as the UK, US etc it adds more every time. In any case, I don't disagree with your point but you can see why people would point to scalpers as an explanation when the Primarch LE's were selling at a snails pace and then all of a sudden selling out within days, with many ebay listings. Didn't Angron sell out before the two books before it eventually did? Weird, though I doubt scalpers are at fault for that.
