It’s Happening! (Transport is coming!)

Recommended Posts

Finally. I'm partying hard now...somewhere around 67 HRC probably...

Something new to add to my guys, now that I'm through most of the primaris range with my Raptors. And coinciding with the new Iron Father, which will probably get my AdMech red gradients too, so I can continue that project with new units. Now we'll have to wait at least until next weekend - WarhammerFest might give us some new reveals about that. I can understand that they won't show everything before that, so the teaser video is fine.

I bet its a Walker

Could be, though rumour engine pics suggest something with big jet engines.

My bet is a dual build kit, flyer transport and interceptor. With mechanical wings: an Ornithopter (1st edition rulebook had one!) that can fly both fixedwing with engines and by flapping wings (that’s how they are described in the Dune novels).

But another possibility is a grav vehicle holding closer to the Primaris vehicle. Which would still be cool.

Or the rumour engine images were of another vehicle entirely?

Not going to admit I got a little emotional and giggled. Now if it is a dual kit that is icing on the cake but I hope we atleast get our new HQ on its own.

One thing that is a bit suspicious...the video only ever mentions skitarii transport. No general AdMech or skitarii/cult troops, just skitarii. So it might be a hint for a skitarii only transport, which would boil down to ranger/vanguard/sicarians. Would be fine by me, as I still don't have any electro priests.

Absolutely this:

Hope this is the right guess. Something with the looks of other AdMech vehicles (steampunky to say so), somehow more related to Kharadron vehicles than Astartes ones. Definitely dual build/purpose in the style of Necron flying */Scythes. It would solve the two categories lacking in ("native") AdMech forces, that is, troop transport and flyers.

Relating to the Ornithopter, Battybattybats had its capabilities from Rogue Trader here: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/330946-ornithopter-capabilities/?p=4691997 and a sketch of it can be found here:  https://www.belloflostsouls.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/Big-sketch3.jpg

They MAY have simply left them out as it didn't quite fit the bit with a Skitarii communicating to his superiors. However, if that was the reason, then they missed out on one of the worst puns imaginable:

"Must inform you that if no transport for ElectoPriests is forthcoming, they are threatening to... reVOLT."

(I'll show myself out).

Yup! More Chaos and Mechanics! Not just good on their own, but it also swings the door to Dark Mechanicus (official or not) open just a bit more. Good thing I force myself to wait for times like this so I can justify the splurge, and then return to biding my time for the next alignment of the stars.

Not sure if this will work from my phone, but there was a model in the 1st ed rule book of the Ornithopter made from model kit parts and other stuff. (But let’s not get our hearts too set on this possibility, as we could get anything).

Im not overly happy about the Transport. New models and options are great but unless it has FLY or something we need we are still missing out.

Im hoping that this doesnt mean the 30k - 40k isnt happening

Last we heard, Fires of Cyraxis has been canned following the main writer demise and the release of 8th edition.

If we are lucky we might get some more datasheets for 30k models like the Terrax Drill, but I won't hold my breath.

I’d need to hunt for the quote but I thought Admech were getting a custodes style data sheets for the resin back catalog

Yes there was a rumour about this happening but nothing for a while

I wonder if we'll see new weapons in this thing or if it'll be a smattering of existing ones?

I think a Stubber is a given but anything else I'm not sure. It would be really cool if we saw a new Radium weapon, like an up-gunned carbine with the same high rate of fire, double wounds on a 6 but some extra strength and AP.

It might even be an analogue of the chimera, with some guns sticking out for the passengers to fire.

I suppose even some heavier firepower might not be out of the question, it's not like Skitarii need to be comfortable or worry about dangerous munitions stored next to them!
