Goldenwing: Custodes TDA the best TDA?

So, I'm searching for a smallish project to occupy me until the fall, and want to build up 1500-2000 points of Custodes TDA. I have a few lists that average around 80 wounds worth of TDA custodes. I do have a few questions from my tactically minded custodes brothers, one such being how do I mitigate the slow movement for them. How are Aquillion and how should I equip them. They give much needed S10 in the army, and a single big squad could fell a Knight in a single round if lucky.

Bolter/fist Aquilon are excellent for their points and end up cheaper than Allarus with axes.

 

Ironically enough Custode termies are just as fast as the rest of their infantry.

The Aquilon are great, I just wish the lastrum bolters were D2 like guardian spears. Idk how useful a heavy bolter is vs a D2 bolt rifle anyway.

I hate resin anyway, so mine will just be converted Allarus with Terminator fists and Stormbolters.

I am curious about how do you think to build the list. 

 

Allarus SC, allarus vexilla, 5 allarus + 5 aquilon... is more than half list?

Keep in mind that the Aquilon have twice the number of shots as well beyond 12", so the 2 damage ends up as a wash in this regard. The increased strength also allows you to deal more wounds vs T4/5/8.

Instead of Aquilon with power talons I would go for classic Allarus

Aquilons are better (much better according to mathhammer) than allarus. To use the stratagems you have the PI in allarus. Moreover, they are cheaper than allarus.
