ETL VII is coming...

Guess I should put a order in for some stuff?

Dreads are on sale at forge world...
Real talk, leviathan with the stubbers, is it good/ not over powered?.

Might be fun to play it with my 6 suppressors

Assuming you mean the storm cannons I think that would fall comfortably in the range of strong but not crazy op. I mean 20 str 7 ap -2 2d shots puts alot of hurt on anything less than t8. And even a bit on t8 due to sheer volume. So I would say do it

Yes, even you wolves are showing enthusiasm! But it'll take more than that! The stumbling has been lack of completions for you in previous years, I want to see the Space Wolves nipping at the heels of the prior winners of past events... and who knows, maybe even beyond.

Look at the threads in other Subforums. Look at ours. What would you expect from that!?

YES, YOU ARE RIGHT! WE WILL GO FULL BERSERK ON OUR VOWS, GIVE THOSE OTHERS A PROPER RACE!

...

Sorry, I had to, for my own sake.

Well, guess I have to make haste then, to finish my counts-as-wulfen and do the last few greenstuff and conversion details I wanted to for my force.

Hopefully we'll get the Citadel Contrast Paints in early June. I really wanna try them out and maybe use parts of them for my men.

+++++++++

PROPOSAL TO THE MODS - and all of our brothers and sisters in the Fang:

How about we Team up a bit in a good brotherly challenge and cooperation with the Sons of Lion El'Johnson, the Dark Angels!?

The biggest traitor-stomping spree the Sons of Russ and the Sons of the Lion have had since the Scouring!

People from both Legions vowing against each other, if they want to, and generally looking into the other's ETL threads more often than we usually would do, giving critique, praise, inspiration and motivation to our brothers in green (or black, or bone, or whatever they choose to wear in the field of battle).

Could give us both a proper boost, comparable to the generally larger activity bigger factions like Chaos or the AoD/30k Loyalists and Traitors have.

More importantly though I think it could make ETL more fun and memorable.

Your thoughts?

You might as well call the Artificer the Iron Priest this year because I’m not going to be messing around! I think I’m good for more points than last year too!

I would have to talk to the other mods, however ETL already is a massive project. To add extra things to track may get out of hand. However I HIGHLY encourage us to go to our cousins and be social with them, as you said "giving critique, praise, inspiration and motivation to our brothers in green". I understand we like to be competitive and friendly antagonize others, however it may be best to keep things as simple as possible. Some of you people also take ETL very seriously and build stress, which I do not want to add extra stress to that. Some of you are straight up crazy in your vows already.

Again, this isn't a hard no, but rather a "there is complications". I will talk to other though.

Edit: bear with my sentence structure, I am fighting with auto correct and the flu.

It's fine, Jarl Caldersson.

Those challenges or friendly competitions is nothing Captain Semper has to track, it might be just interesting between fraters who already interact with each other anyway or find out they have similiar vows. (I.e. both making a Leviathan Dread or so)

The Main Point I wanted to get across was what you quoted, yes. Increase interactivity between DA and SW to fight the silence of inactivity and demotivation. All on a basis of Brotherhood and optionality.

I have an issue with that, mostly because if that's the case then shouldn't the Xenos or the Chaos Daemons/Lost and the Damned sections of Chaos get the same reprieve? And if we do that it gets way too complicated

Everyone is already free to do so!?

There have been challenges between people in the past - I think Captain Semper himself had some going where he dedicated models to certain board members in turn, if they could uphold the challenge, right? (Or was that another Mod?)

Looking into other factions threads and commenting, criticising and advising is obviously also allowed. Thankfully quite a few veteran forum members do so, giving helpful input as they do.

And if you want to challenge a buddy, with you building a Knight and him building a Gorkanaut or whatever, that's entirely between you two - tho it could provide some funny entertainment and motivation to others.

All I wanted to promote was:

MAYBE it COULD be a fun idea to buddy up with the DAs and get a good, friendly, brotherly exchange flowing.

That's it. No overly complicating stuff.

If I would go on to challenge DarkAngelsFan#5739 with my vow, why would Captain Semper need to track that?

Of course others could call us out on that challenge later on to see how things are going and remind us of it. But generally it would be a 1 on 1 thing.

But the challenge thing was merely an addendum to my main idea.

The main reason for my idea of a bit more activity in OUR Space Wolves ETL thread is to fight the common occurrence of "First 2-3 weeks are full of boastful oaths, then mostly radio silence until some completions rush in during the last 2 weeks"

(Mind you, I was part of that problem aswell)

Especially with not many specific releases for us in the last time, except for the 30k stuff, and mainly an influx of Primaris stuff, I could see a bit of a lull.
