Custodes - Better Spear Artifact?

Does anyone else wish for a better Spear Artifact so they could make a character that could kill other characters well that did NOT have to take an Axe.... after-all these guys were supposed to be the Spears of the Empy!

We should be able to get the Paragon Spear like in the 30k.

Yup, I think it's kinda funny, that the spear is the custodes' iconic weapon and now the axes seem to end up better and thus more dominant in armies. With my own golden boys I actually went for way more spears, with only the Allarus using axes - for the heavy terminators, those seemed more fitting somehow.

And because of the iconic spear, my shield captain is using that as well. So, yes, I'm all for a proper, powerful relic spear.

It’d be cool to have the Apollonian spear as a usable relic. It’s 30k rules make it a great weapon and would fit the role of relic very well.

 

Of course it would mean Valdor had to to leave it behind when he went instead of taking it with him.

I would assume, that the spear would then be passed from Captain-General to Captain-General, it being crafted by Big E and all. 

 

Doesn't have to be the Apollonian spear, but something akin to it would still be sweet, just to make netlist armies not so samey.

I won't spoil it, but it is a MUST read for custodes.

It very much hints at possible returns of Russ and Valdor in future also....

Ah, that's the one about the spear of Russ and the Apollonian spear being related, right? I like that a lot, also the idea, that Valdor might return. But that goes for most legions, where the Primarch is MIA - it's a neat way to create fan theories.
